Does anyone in Melbourne sell Resolute jeans (not the biking jeans), I remember seeing a pic from one of the newer tailors (not the finery company but seemed like a similar aesthetic) showing a small selection but I can't seem to track it down.

How did you size on your side-zip boot @el Bert? Got my eye on their hiking boot atm so might size completely differently though.

^I kind of agree but selvedge denim is such a wide definition nowadays (if it's just any denim with a selvedge line in the leg) that I bet I could find some which I find comfortable. But generally not too big on the classic 'rigid' raw denim found in most places, though I don't dislike all...

I just picked up my shirts and tried them on, no complaints whatsoever. Everything is exactly as specified and fit is also what I was after. I asked before hand for suggestions on a white warm weather poplin (atleast poplin like) with no sheen and opted for the White Summer Everyday fabric and...

    The Architecture Thread

Forgot to thank you Stephen, managed to use your method, thought they had hidden the image file in the webpage source or something similarly difficult. Sadly For some images where you can zoom in a ton (suggesting huge source images) the canvas remains as just the area in the screen. Essentially...

Upthere and PickingsParry do chain stitch hemming, but if you don't care you could go with any tailor really. If you don't want too big a cuff could always cuff smaller and twice to whatever's pleasing to the eyr, no rules as far as I'm aware for denim and cuffing.

Listened to the leak yesterday, loving it so far. Need to give it more plays throughout the week, hopefully not a one time thing but understandable if so. Had me going back to some new De La stuff as well to compare.

Hey @StephenHero, how are you pulling images from Divisare? I've saved projects I like through the website but have always wanted to store some images offline.

I'm the only person I know that rocks puma suedes that I know where I from, maybe I'm a cool kid... Geography might help.

Random fashion thoughts - Part II (A New Hope)

^Just picked up the Bless book with a bunch of their store fronts in it. Does anyone make denim that fits like the Etautz pair a couple pages back with more slubby denim. Not really big on Chimala since it's hard to find in Australia, would I be better off oversizing repro pairs?

Got some Issey drawstring trousers with light taper recently, was cheaper then the comme i could find at the time but fabric was a light cotton linen wash. Yohji does a ton as well, pics would help of some you like since comme does a ton. I think our legacy and acne also have slimmer wool...

Order page is really cool, not sure if that's your own doing or shopify's, easy to know if you screwed up your shipping address. Jumped on the sale should be in time for Australian summer.

Always like your more casual looks @Gerry Nelson. Can I ask what the jacket's made of, been looking for a french work jacket in mid weight linen for a while but mostly just find different cotton ones. Should xpost to swd waywt too!

Hey, I remember there being some discussion on patching old denim to turn it into a patchwork pair. Wondering what you guys use to patch the crotch (similar fabric, whatever fabric or do you darn it)? I've patched parts of the thigh and knee which have been worn through with whatever I thought...

I like the look of Danner lights' as a timb like boot, I find them more comfortable than both mainline and premium timbs from a try on.

Hoping something cool, saw a jacket by local company, 'for the homies', which was a blacked out double rider and the jacket felt really nice and sturdy, didn't fit me how I'd like though.

    WAYWRN: Classic Menswear, Casual Style

Cool looks Gerry should try out the double rider with a softer (suede, wool) aesthetic think it would look great with a lot of your usual posted wardrobe as well as here. Looks a bit too obvious a choice with the rest here, definitely not a bad choice though.

Was reading the Margiela street book last night and saw (albeit a small part) of the painted footwear for SS99, gotta agree with everyone else great find!

Thanks for the recommendations, particularly after a poplin rather than a chambray. Don't really mind transparent fabrics, will probably be ok with it I think.

Speaking of, anyone check out the John Olsen exhibition at Ian Potter yet? Had a walk through this morning at had a doodle on the activity sheet, loved the huge scale of some of the work. Sadly it's the face which is too big @sliq, came on black leather too, definitely nice looking. ^Yeah...
