    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

Tried on some Hyde's today. Really love the look of these boots however as soon as I got them on my feet, felt instant discomfort/pain from the top part of the boot that meets the back of my leg. Now is this normal with wearing a boot and would this ease off as the boots are broken in? Kinda put...

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

I'd say the ball of my feet is where they're most painful but also feel pain around the toes too which is kinda close to the ball region.

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

That I did not do but was told by the salesman that there is good chance my left foot would be bigger than the right hence why the pain... Wasn't sure if that was sales talk! The Cheaneys are a size 7, my C&J's are a 6.5, both fit well but the soles of my feet are still sore from walking around...

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

If the shoes were too long then surely I'd be experiencing the issue on both feet? But I'm not, its just the left shoe. However, it could be that they are not broken in, today was the 3rd wear. Was told by the salesman that I should give it 6 wears before bringing them back in for the shoe to be...

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

Nah the Cheaneys are a good fit bar the left shoe digging into my top knuckle. And yes they were bought at a Cheaney store here in the UK.

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

Yes have seen a podiatrist in the past who advised that I do some calf strengthening excercies which I found weird as I work out on the regular with resistance and that includes doing a complete workout on my legs!! Was also advised to buy dress shoes with a slightly thicker sole to provide...

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

So what are decent socks? I've considered insoles but that may make my issue worse as with the Cheaneys it's the left shoe that is giving me pain as its bending, the leather is pushing into the knuckle of my big toe. The other shoes are giving me sore soles due to the lack of cushion. My...

Why the sore feet in my dress shoes??

Hi Guys, So I ask the question, why are my feet always very sore after a days work in whatever dress shoe I wear? I currently rotate 2 pairs of Hugo Boss shoes (oxfords and derbys) and a pair of Cheaney oxfords with a Dainite sole. Also own a pair of Handgrade C&J's which I haven't worn yet...

Cheaney City Line vs Loake 1880/Benchgrade C&J

Guys as promised, I've added some pics of both the Cheaneys and C&J's.. Also wanted to ask, is there anything that should be used when first wearing these shoes to provide any type of protection for the leather?

Cheaney City Line vs Loake 1880/Benchgrade C&J

Hi guys, Thanks for your replies.. I do actually own a pair of hand grade C&J's and today I picked up a pair of Cheaney Harringtion R as the price was very reasonable, in fact I'm sure they were cheaper than any 1880 Loakes. Upon comparing them to my C&J's. there is a difference in the...

The Quintessential Dress Shoe: Black Cap Toe Oxford

Anyone on here got any experience with Cheaney's city line oxfords? Tried a pair on today but not sure how they compare to the likes of Loakes 1880's or Benchgrade C&J's?

Cheaney City Line vs Loake 1880/Benchgrade C&J

Hi all, In need of some comfortable oxfords for work. Recently tried on some City line Cheaney's and found them to be a decent fit. I'm looking for some shoes that are going to offer me some extra support and comfort due to my feet suffering a lot from dress shoes. Wondering if any of the...

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

Hi, was hoping to make it to the sale but family commitments cropped up. What kind of money did you pay for the Galaways and were there any toe caps shoes such as their chelsea shoe? Need a pair of them in my life.

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

I think that was the case with some Loakes I was looking at last weekend. Half liner over the heel part and the rest was the leather insole, just doesn't feel the same when I tried them on, felt very hard under my feet compared to my C&Js.

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

Quick question, noticed on my handgrades have a full leather insole in black. Is that also the case for all bench grade C&J's? Was looking at some Loakes yesterday and noticed that none of their 1880's had a full leather insole, only the heal part.
