I just wore those 2015 Sauk Drives on Wednesday. The soles still look brand new -- definitely agree that the yellow-logo Vibram soles are superior. I recently conditioned the Sauks with Saphir Creme Cuir Gras (neutral), and it deepened the color of the russet Dublin leather a bit, in a good way.- gm928

This is only speculation, but my guess is that it has to do with AE's general pricing strategy. For AE's own-branded shoes, the seconds on the shoebank are competing against regular-priced first-quality shoes on the main AE site, or possibly against clearance-priced first-quality shoes on the...- gm928

I was going to say the same thing about theshoemart.com. The Alden seconds are very well-hidden, but they are there. I'd still suggest going to the San Francisco Alden store to figure out sizing / lasts in person. The Alden thread here should also be consulted - I believe they have a good sizing...- gm928

Every time I've emailed the CAC, they've responded by telephone the same day. Emailing the other factory outlet locations is hit or miss, and sometimes they don't respond at all. I've since stopped emailing and just call.- gm928
