Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Thanks -- I'm looking for a 3-season workhorse sports coat that could pair with anything from jeans on up. Do you think this fabric would fit the bill? And any suggestions on a better fabric and place in NYC to get it made?

Unfunded Liabilities: a/k/a The Cloth Thread

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of Con Fiducia fabrics and their relative quality? A tailor I use in NYC (Sam Wazin) has a Con Fiducia fabric book -- the attached caught my eye, but I'm not familiar with name, and googling didn't turn up much.

Sam Wazin (NYC Tailor) Appreciation Thread

Any suggestions for where in NYC to get bespoke coat/suit made? I do AC for shirts, but they're so pricey I can't imagine what a coat would cost custom...

    Ascot Chang NYC

I bought 4 a month ago and they're fantastic -- so much so that I'm finding myself not wearing my non-AC shirts. They fit absolutely perfectly. I have a big drop and weird measurements, and they're better than anything I've found off the rack, and considerably better than Proper Cloth, which...

Sam Wazin (NYC Tailor) Appreciation Thread

How did you end up liking the coat? I'm thinking about taking the plunge myself -- Sam's done my alterations for a couple years, and he's fantastic at that.

    Con Fiducia fabrics?

Does anyone have any experience or input on Con Fiducia fabrics and their relative quality? A tailor I use in NYC does custom suits/sport coats and had a Con Fiducia fabric book -- the attached caught my eye, but I'm not familiar with name, and googling didn't turn up much.

    I don't. He's good, but really expensive.

Dan, that flannel shirt look nice, but I gather that's premade not MTM? I've been trying to find a custom shirt maker that does casual fabrics. My experience with Proper Cloth has only been so-so. But I've had Sam tailor some stuff (including PC shirts) and he's great every time.
