Four in Hand Ties - www.fourinhand.com

Really interesting collection... but couldn't the website get spruced up a bit considering that it is quite stylish clothing being sold? or is it just me...

    J. Hilburn Shirts?

I think he does have a point, many people frown at clothes being made in Asia, but great shirts come from there to most global brands and this is a terrible mind set in my opinion. It really is up to quality control and the standards that are in place at the factory. However, the website does...

Tie selection with pink gingham shirt?

The last of the three pics you posted has the best tie in my opinion... a nice contrast and I am not too big a fan of knit ties. Don't they seem quite old fashion? I was wearing them when I went to high school at catholic boys school and therefore may be bias .

Will Obama Start Trend Toward Better Dress?

I am sure Obama has an army of stylists behind him? Or at least a great tailor, that really knows his craft. I think he has great simple style and that's really what a president should have.. no? I don't think his clothing style is enough in the media to create a significant trend.

    Shirt Quality vis-a-vis Diminishing Returns

Sure it would be great to get all those top dollar shirts, but wouldn't it be more interesting to get a few shirts instead of the expensive one? Personally, I like getting new shirts and retiring old ones for the sake of novelty.

    Turnback Cuffs on Dress Shirts?

I am a big fan of these cuffs, but I would have to agree except if you want to bold wearing them to a formal work environment could be inappropriate. But they still look great

Which shirt-types can be worn "untucked"?

Just about any shirt should have a curved bottom. The straight ones are usually not as comfortable when tucked in and they just look kind of tacky in my opinion.

Please critique my first Jantzen Shirt

The shirt looks like it has a good fit. I would say that it slightly baggy at the upper sleeve area and if you intended it to be a slim fit you probably want to get it made smaller around the waist. And yes, the pocket is rather big.

    Being dressed well and "scoring"

Well it has to depend on the situation. If you are out camping and hitting on girls, you will look quite out of place if you are wearing a tuxedo. Extreme, but I had to get my point across some how... Just like our old economics professor always said... 'it all depends'.

Would a buttondown shirt with turnback cuffs work?

These cuffs can be pretty cool, nice to be a bit different and adventurous once in a while. It really depends in what style they come in, I think. There are the more squared types and then there are the round ones. Hey they are also called portofino cuffs or cocktail cuffs. I would personally...

    Rate My Shirt Please

I think jcriswel did a good job pointing out some improvememnts that could be made. The shoulders are def too wide. Another thing is that it looks like the collar is slightly cutaway. As you mentioned you may not be the slimmest of people.. usually cutaway collars place an extra emphasis on...

Just received my first Jantzen shirt! Critique help please

I would agree with stickonatree. This is good value for money. Improvements can be made, it is really hard to get wrinkle free 100% cotton at affordable prices though. And ideally thats the way they should be.

    French cuffs, no tie?

French cuffs with jeans? I say that is mighty fine. Its an interesting look giving the whole ensemble just a touch of being more formal. A good option is to wear it with the knot links (cuff links made in balls of thread), these are usually not as formal as metal cuff links.
