I have the same issue with my calf aberdeen NST's. May sound obvious, but thicker socks and pulling the laces tighter especially towards the toe makes them wearable. Of course the extra "work" means I don't wear them as often as I would otherwise.- quantrell

I have them. More compliments on them than any other shoes I own, including EG, G&G, Alden shells, etc, comfy too. Mine are the basic Footjoy configuration, but I think Tom said he'd be offering them in other materials in the future.- quantrell

G&G--cordovan or calf
I just received the Rothschild in dark oak on the 73. It's great. My only quibble is that the leather lacks a little character"”cordovan might add some depth. I say go for it.- quantrell
