Custom White's Boots ... Thoughts?
My bad. I thought you said they were for work. I'm in the construction industry. I don't spend a lot of time worrying about my boots patina but if I were buying a pair for after hours, I would get Viberg. Much nicer looking boots IMO.- manasota

Roughout make a far better work boot IMO. Much tougher than flesh side. It doesn't cut or nick as easily. Brush the mud off and you're good to go.- manasota

Not an expert but I buy Whites a half size smaller than my regular shoes. You should have a good inch of toe space. If your toes are too close you probably need to size to size up. They're made to be worn with thick boot socks.- manasota

I find Redwings are two damn long and narrow for any normal foot and as far as the Whites, they're made out of 1/4 inch thick leather so I'd say that's about normal.- manasota

It was right at 100 hours that I stopped thinking about my feet every second that I wore my Whites. Redwings had to be stretched by a cobbler and have custom inserts before I could wear them at all.- manasota
