The Hong Kong BaoTou Tailors and Fabric Shops for CMT Thread

Amazing content PekingRoadHK, especially the leather jackets. Never knew much about tailored leather jackets in HK - that's unique. Jim sifu's jackets looks awesome.

    Tailoring Yak's Wool

I've bought the same yak jacket in green from Ed and made up a Yak jacket. I just gave it to my local tailor and he didn't seem to have any problem with it. it is an amazing fabric.

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

You should bring back your piece and ask them to fix the seems. Although half-canvas is not necessary fused, it is highly likely half-canvas also means fused. That's okay as long as you are fine with it. It is likely that Lee Baron will charge different prices for full canvas and half canvas too...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

You are unlikely to buy a tailored suit at a tailor shop that is non-fused for HK$2000-4000. Dreams bespoke and browns tailor is out of your price range - they should be HK$6000 up. Personally, I wouldn't be picky about the details at this price range. You might be able to try your luck with...

    The Hong Kong Tailors Thread

From what I've seen Il Sarto makes fused suits for the massive premium they charge for (approx 10k). I would stay away. GBR's post should be a sticky in this thread for new comers. I would add Browns tailor and Dreams bespoke into the mix of tailor shop to be recommended. I've found a...

    Double Monk semi-bespoke shoes in Chicago/LA/London ?

Wow. USD300 for MTM shoes that fit well, durable and handmade and hand polished. Let me know if you can find a deal like this. I'd like to sign up for it too.

    Arsante Luxury Leather briefcases

Yep. Pretty sure that it's machine stitching. If it was hand stitched, the stitching would be on the outside rather than inside (see the bag edges). Nothing wrong with machine stitching as it is sometimes more reliable than handwork, just that their whole emphasis on handmade product seems...

    Arsante Luxury Leather briefcases

This read likes an ad especially given that you just joined style forum yesterday. There is also an affiliate program which rewards promoters 20% of the purchase price: https://arsante.refersion.com/ The quality looks pretty good. But the stitching looks machine stitched rather than "handmade"...

Styleforum User reports and questions on technical issues

Since my last post, there had been updates to the alert system and any updates to the thread will be alerted. The trouble is that there are few hundred alerts now and I will ignore them. I prefer one alert for one thread. If this thread had 5 additional posts, i prefer to get 1 alert rather...

Styleforum User reports and questions on technical issues

Thanks for the quick reply Fok! I turn off email notifications by default. What I mean is the alert tab in the right upper corner don't show up properly. The threads I follow don't show up unless I've been reading it recently.

Styleforum User reports and questions on technical issues

I don't think my alerts is working properly. Any watched threads don't get flagged for updates. As a result I don't come on style forums as often.

The Best of B&S - Someone should buy this!

I bought a couple of things due to Razl's post! He gets deals going!

    Newc's Bespoke Adventure.

Of course. It is just my opinion. Having said all that, I am not a tailor. But I do not believe, based on his body shape, a tailor cannot create a better silhouette. I believe the men below have a wider body frame than Newcomer but the silhouette is amazing. Look at how the sleeves...

    Newc's Bespoke Adventure.

That is a perfect back. I still haven't found a tailor able to execute the back so perfectly. I would prefer the fit of the brown suit than the grey suit. The grey suit has a better silhouette because there is more space in between the body and the sleeves but it fits less well. As I said...

    Newc's Bespoke Adventure.

I agree with Alan Bee that Newcomer's suit needs a better silhouette and I also agree Alan Bee's suit is way too tight. The way the suit is shaped around Newcomer's body is great. The only thing needs to be shaped is the sleeves. If you look at BnT's suits and sleeves, you will notice how they...

    Ongoing Bespoke Projects

That is impressive work. It's also a one piece back which makes it even more difficult to fit. Who is the maker?

    Ongoing Bespoke Projects

Agree. I expect Sartoria Corcos to get a perfect back - especially since it's not his first commission with Leaves.
