    I'm also curious about this. I got overly excited when I saw the new wave of clearance-- bought a pair of natural Clark Street and the light brown Freiburg (my first boot). Didn't really think either of them through that much. I'm wondering if maybe the russet brown wasn't the way to go.

    Took them in... those Clark Streets are closeouts, so they couldn't replace them. The sales associate offered me a pair of seconds for the sale price I originally paid ($199 for firsts). Rejected that and put the $199 toward some strandmoks. Pretty disappointed since I thought the sale price...

    My choice would be McTavish with no additional information. Most versatile. Second would be Strandmok (I prefer brown) because they look fantastic with jeans and khakis. A distant third would be the Neumok. Unless you really know his taste/style, it strikes me as a little too adventurous...
