    Buday Shoes - Hungarian Shoemaker

Visited both Rozsnyai and Buday this afternoon. Unfortunately, I spent so long in the Rozanyai store that I only had a fleeting visit to Buday. Each to their own but I wasn't a fan of their styles. But they look very well made and finished. However, I was much more impressed with Rosznyai...

    Buday Shoes - Hungarian Shoemaker

Just read through the thread. I have in Budapest for the last year and ashamed to say not been inside the Buday shop. Like many others I seem to bypass the shop and go into Vass, where I have developed a nice collection of F & U lasts. Not really a fan of the Budapester style, but determined...

Suggestions which Saphir MDO Polish and Wax to use on Edward Green Olive and GG Racing green? I already have Saphir Black, neutral, Blue, Brown and Burgandy, ideally I want to use one of those. Thoughts?

Edward Green Appreciation: Pictures, Info, and Where to Buy

Just arrived in London for the start of the EG sale in their store on Jermyn street today. Delighted to get the Oundle single monk in olive green antique and the Beaulieu midnight blue antique both on the 82 last and both reduced from £795 to £460. Delighted to at last get my first pairs of EG.

I took a trip out this morning to pick up my shoes which have now had the metal flush toe taps installed. Due to fog, visibility only about 50m, but please find some photos of David's workshop. Left a pair of blue Vass London derby for him to patina. [/IMG]

NEW MEMBER INQUIRIES & QUICK QUESTIONS- CLASSIC MENSWEAR: WK OF DEC 14, 2015

Is there anything in particular I should be considering for a bespoke suit that you wouldn't in a RTW suit? I have chosen a RTW suit image that I like and thus asking the tailor in essence to copy, but through bespoke I am looking to get a great fit and feel a million dollars when I am...

NEW MEMBER INQUIRIES & QUICK QUESTIONS- CLASSIC MENSWEAR: WK OF DEC 14, 2015

Trying to get some advice on making my first bespoke suit. I have found the tailor in Budapest, bought the material and have the idea - see photo. Grateful if you could point me to the appropriate thread as all the threads in bespoke seem to be quite specific.

Apologies for this being non Vass related, but if any of you are visiting Vass in Budapest, I would highly recommend a trip out to see David, a French bespoke shoe maker one hour outside of Budapest. http://davidbalazic.com/site/index.php/en/ I found out about him reading Justin's (the shoe...

I bought some Tarrago nano protector spray and Saphir Invulner spray. Do they both do the same job? Will use on suede.

Tempted by the "2008" limited edition on bespoke England sale in Oxford Mink. Haven't seen that color in person and looks quite light. I have the 7000 last already so know it will fit. Any views on what color of suits to pair it with. Blue? Also a "sample" shoe. Is that normally one that is from...

Reszo describes them as terraccota, afraid I don't know if that is the same as cognac. Suspect not, as quite an orangy hue to them and I don't have any other shoes in cognac calf to be able to compare. However, the mention "red cognac" on their site, so suspect it is that.

Day 3 of wearing new Vass shoes. Been a great show week for me. Derby boots in Terracota "F" last on Dianite. First pair of boots arrived just in time as snow on its way to Budapest. Off to the shop this afternoon to make a new suede boot MTO. Order by tomorrow and should be ready pre-Christmas.
