    Stylish clothes for travel?

If the train luggage limit is the concern (at least for your Japan travels), you should look into luggage forwar services/takuhaibin. For an upc trip, we’ll be shipping our luggage to/from our hotels so our train travel is easier.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

From my view, the insteps seem similar relative to the overall last. Soller is a spacious last and I’m guessing my instep is higher than yours as rain fits me well and I couldn’t even get my foot into a Simpson oxford at 7.5uk.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

I’m the same size on Soller (7.5uk) as in Rain/Sineu/Oscar and take a half size up on Simpson. Soller feels roomier than the other lasts and as I only have Soller in boots, I can wear thicker socks. It’s also longer so there’s more toe space while the heal/instep doesn’t feel much different...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Same size, heels pushed back against a wall to line the boots up to make sure it’s not me looking at it weird. Good to hear. With one person thinking the boots looking like two different sizes, I’m clearly not making this up. I’ll proceed with returning. I’m really annoyed as I like the...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

My second attempt at the Calways didn’t goes as hoped. Again the two boots don’t match as the right boot looks like my other Oscar boots and is fine, while the left boot’s captoe is much shorter. I usually don’t worry about this stuff or minor scuffs/scratches/discolorations on new shoes/boots...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Appreciate the input, I usually don’t sweat minor marks/differences, but this seems like too much to ignore and can’t be corrected. I’ve contacted Carmina about an exchange or return and shared several pictures as it really is noticeable.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Just received these Calways and noted that the leather/last is pulled tighter on the left shoe vs the right so the grain is smoothed out more and to my eye appears slightly sleeker in the left foot. Is this noticeable to anyone else? Something worth caring about knowing they’ll eventually get...

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

Unusual that you’d had so many issues with the length. I have ~60 shirts from PC at this point in all sorts of fabrics and have used different lengths for tucked/ untucked shirts and never noticed any significant deviation from my requested size after washing/hang dry. I have a couple of the...

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

I’m 7.5 UK in Rain/Oscar/Sineu/Soller and took the same size in the 365 for my Islays. It’s definitely the right size for me. I’d note that despite it supposedly being a roomy last it’s tight at the very start of my instep so they fit snugger than I expected and I’d trying to stretch/loosen this...

Maybe the Soft Roma Spread, pretty tall collar though.

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

Thank you for this. Interesting that you described the Conistons as sleak as in pictures (not always, just some angles) they often seem a bit too round/blobby to me which is why I lean towards the Oscar last.

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

Appreciate the thoughts, with one for the Carmina and one for the C&J, still a bit undecided. I figure either way I go, I’ll be happy. Does anyone have both the Oscar last and the 325 to share fit differences? From my research, most would take the same size.

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

I’m considering ordering a pair of dark brown boots for this fall/winter and I’d be interested in getting some opinions on which route to go. I’m debating between the C&J Coniston or the Carmina 80184 in dark brown grain. I’ve gone back and forth on which I prefer as I have the same Carminas in...

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

No, I have ~50 shirts now in a wide variety of fabrics and never experienced this. There’s definitely a shirt here or there that fit slightly different/off in a way I can’t really identify, but 90+% of the time the shirts are on spec and fit as expected. One time I did get a shirt that shrunk...

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

I have two shirts in the Baird linen and did not notice any extreme shrinkage after cold wash, hang dry. I’d note that I did make these a bit looser than my normal size as I had them made up as casual shirts to be worn untucked so I could’ve missed it. Sleeve length arrived a bit long as PC...

That’s great to hear, placed my order last week so hopefully they fit well when they arrive.

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

That’s great to hear. Thank you for the comparison. I think I’ll go ahead and pull the trigger. I only have one C&J, a black Hallam that doesn’t get much wear, but I’ve always been impressed by the quality. I was going to order through Bodiley’s as that seemed more straightforward than emailing...

** Quintessential Crockett & Jones Thread ** (reviews, quality, etc...)

I’ve been debating getting the Hardwick in brown suede vs a similar style from TLB Mallorca. Would you (or others) have a comment on how the 341 last fits relative to Carmina last (I have Rain/Soller/Oscar/Sineu/Simpson, all in 7.5uk except 8.0uk for Simpson. All fit well)?

Thank you for the clarification. I’ll look forward to stocking up this fall on the long sleeve polos.

SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

I agree that his response was confusing as the F/W long sleeve polos were ok lengthwise/fit overall, but the stock online for the short sleeve polos is the same stuff as last year. When the email came out this morning promoting the polos, I expected to see new items under new arrivals, but...
