Thanks for your help, chicken! Kyle sent a 12D Smokejumper for me to try on, which was too narrow along the toes, but great in length, whereas the 12D Amazon SD felt much better in width, if just a tad longer in length. Nevertheless, I think a D width in the SD last is going to work.- oreospeedwagon

The CXL Americana Semi-Dress sold by Amazon has a leather-lined vamp, with unlined quarter. Is this a stock feature of White's, or a custom make-up unique to that boot? Apologies for the sizing question, but I thought I'd get a second opinion. I recently sent my tracings in to Kyle at Baker's, who had me try a 12D Smoke Jumper for fit. The length is good, and from heel to ball, the boots fit better than anything I've ever worn, as though my feet are bandaged...- oreospeedwagon

Red Wing makes great work boots, but I can't wear a pair of their Heritage line more than a year without the leather insole cracking and going to ****. I'm considering White's for the obvious reasons, but mostly because they're rebuildable.- oreospeedwagon
