I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here.
Hmm, so post Christmas sales coughed up a pair of Nudie Straight Sven Dry Selvage at a very low price... Question is, do the SSDS have better quality denim than a pair of NS? I'm tossing up between the two (SSDS are about $60AUD cheaper...). Any help, guys?- Mushroom77

If you want prints, try Surry Hills, Glebe or Paddington Markets. Or just cruise along King St in Newtown for a while, you're bound to find something. I have a pair of Nudie RRDS, and after a few months of wear, they've stretched and I've shrunk. Is it possible to shrink them back to tagged? I'm thinking either a trip in the dryer or a soak (with me wearing them?) will get the waist back to a wearable size. Would either of these work? My...- Mushroom77

I wear my un-faded pair of RRDS with a short black trench/peacoat a lot, and it's a combination that I think works well. Great with scarves too, I think it's a good look.- Mushroom77

Diddy, that kind of question goes in the 'Small Questions Thread', which is also pinned to the top of the SW&D forum. As for the shoes, Michael and Kwilk are right, some brown laceups would be a much better choice. Try looking for Clarks Desert Boots (yeah, SF-uniform, I know) or something...- Mushroom77

G-Star, Raw Denim & "Intro"
I haven't read most of this thread, but if the OP's still wondering the difference between G-Star and more Styleforum friendly brands, he should go to General Pants. They sell Nudies and should have some raw ones, and the quality is really different. I had a raw pair of G-Stars before finding...- Mushroom77

I believe there may be a Nudies store in Sydney, but I could be wrong. General Pants also stock Nudies and some other good quality jeans, and you can get Levis, well, anywhere.- Mushroom77
