Allen Edmonds Quality?
Spend a little more and go with Alden. They are made to a higher standard, and are still only half as much as some of the European firms with similarly constructed shoes. Unfortunately I've come not to trust AE with anything that is brogued or winged, as I have yet to find a pair where the detailing is both straight and centered on the upper of both shoes. Polo Ralph Lauren outlet has poor quality?
The truest example I've found of this is the Brooks Brothers outlets, with their made exclusively for outlet store "346" branded apparel. Work boots as casual wear
Work type boots can look very nice casually as long as they aren't beat to hell when the rest of your outfit is very put together. I'd probably stay away from pairing them with blazers, or anything tailored for that matter, and instead treat them as more "street wear," to be worn with jeans...- aDrummingDude

^^This is my experience exactly. I recently found a mainline Samuelsohn blazer at a Nordstrom Rack in the $200 range, but most of the time its just the cheap Calvin Klein/Tommy Hillfiger type stuff.- aDrummingDude

How does Bruno Magli / Salvatore Ferragamo Sizing compare to AE?
^^This I currently own 3 pairs of Ferragamo, and got a good deal on all three. I would never pay full boat for them, but at discount they are certainly worth owning.
