Happy to help! My Rain suede wholecuts are 9.5 and fit well, but sometimes with those I wonder if I could have also sized down a half to a 9. Rain feels cavernous to me. But the 9.5 Rain has my heel and the ball of my foot locked, and feel/fit almost identically to the Pina loafers in UK 10...- CMT1

Thanks Karl. And thanks to Carmina for a lighter-brown shell loafer option that didn't involve my name on an Alden wait list. If I'm honest, I am a sucker for the LHS, but this is a fine alternative and I can ignore the ravello/whiskey cravings since these work so well.- CMT1

My Pina 80440s definitely have a lot of toe space. I think I have said it before, but I probably could have gone down a half size and been fine, but after a few years of wear these have broken in to be pretty much perfect. I own both shell and CXL loafers/mocs/slip-ons and I can't say that I prefer one over the other. I love both materials, I find them both to be extremely comfortable both lined and unlined, and both respond very well to reconditioning when needed. Shell just doesn't stretch as much. Thanks, Rancourt hit a serious home run with these! Being just-conditioned and brushed hides the scars/scuffs pretty well, at least for a while. They haven't seen much product and seemed a bit dry, so I figured it was time.- CMT1
