I agree about the adding the lining. I also agree it also adds structure and are more comfortable in my opinion. I wear them without socks without issue. I do place in a cedar shoe tree after each wear.- CalSatSea

Running Shorts. Need Input.
Split sided running shorts by BOA work well for running. The liner brief generally works well. Suede Oxfords....with shorts? OK or not?
Yes. Good choice of shoe and color of leather with pairing with shorts. Fashion sneakers also work well walking the Strip. With shorts, always go without socks (or wear no-shows).- CalSatSea

Baby Powder in shoes -- when sockless
If not wearing socks, foot powder is a must. "Really keeps my toes from getting ripped up from friction against the leather and will keep your feet more comfortable." That is very true. boat shoes - socks or no socks?
Boat shoes are to be worn without socks. Purchase the real Topsiders. They are all leather and breathe much better. I've worn the cheap boat shoes before.
