Gaziano & Girling Appreciation & Shoe Appreciation Thread (including reviews, purchases, pictures)

Thanks, very helpful! And beuties! If you can post an overhead shot and a straight forward shot that would be amazing! Re the sizing, I'm a little concerned to go UK8.5 because lengthwise my feet are really a US8.5. It's the ball measurement that is a 9. So I'm concerned the overall length...

Hi, can anyone post a photo of the Oxford (or any oxford shoe) in the MH71 last? Also, I wear a US size 9D in the Allen Edmonds 65 (aka "5") last. Would that typically translate to a UK 8E for the MH71?

Boots Boots Boots - For Boot Guys Only

Can anyone help me locate these boots (I saw them a while back but forgot what brand they were: Black leather Chelsea boot with a cap toe. The last had a softly squared toe, not chunky. They had a rubber sole with a thin red stripe (not bright red) running along the sole. Any leads appreciated.

I’m chill. I’m just stating my surprise. Why would I wait two days (or more) for a reply when I can get one instantly it within a few hours from another AD? Seems like bad business in today’s instant communication environment.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Does Hodinkee have a page here? I'm considering a watch they carry and had a question about it. I emailed them an inquiry and their auto response was: We’ve received your request and will be in touch shortly – while we strive to address all emails within 24-48 business hours, our recent...

I'm intrigued by the Coniston in black rough-out suede. Would these hold up as light-duty work boots? How does rough-out suede react to water? How does one care for and treat this type of leather? Thank in advance!

Yes, I like some of the designs a lot. But I was looking into this 39mm Waterbury automatic and that was the spec allowance. That was the end of that.

Just a quick rant, what is up with these cheap autos from Timex with stated accuracy of -20/+40 s/d? I mean what’s the point?!
