To be fair, that's from my trainer size. UK sizing is all over the place, I find EU sizing to be a bit more reliable. I'm 44, which normally translates to 9.5 or 10 for trainers. My 4444 8.5s are totally fine, but my 8.5 4497s are definitely a touch too small for my relatively wide feet. I'd be...- Magnakai

What's wrong with those? Is it the markings on the front left toe? If I'm size 9 in Trickers, do you think I'd be able to fill up the boot enough with an insole to fit in those size 10s, or will it just be uncomfortable?- Magnakai

That is very disappointing Harland. I've noticed quite a bit of variation in the different Trickers I've tried on, but this is pretty substantial. Obviously they won't stretch in length! I think the one thing to take away is to try on everything you can. My size 8.5 suede Stows on 4497 are distinctly more comfortable than my side 8.5 calf Logger Boots on 4444. My Logger Boots barely fit, a lot more like the size 8 Stows I tried on.- Magnakai

In theory, though I'd have to give up the substantial discount I could have the fitting 6s for. However, a well fitting £400 boot is most useful than a poorly fitting £300 boot.- Magnakai

Two questions: I tried on a UK size 9 pair of Tricker Maltons using their number 6 last - the wide one. They were definitely too big for me, at least half a size, but maybe a full size.
