    MTM Chelsea Boots from Vietnam

I don't know what is more impressive...the prices they are getting these shoes for or the work he did to those boots Yup! There the same shoes. Lotsa polishing involved. My staff thinks I'm nuts & possibly gay On side note, I discovered that using toppy inserts are a water magnet with Blake...

The Newman's are great. Don't wear them much cause i have a lot of shoes. I got mine from Plal as a marked-down special. That is a certain sharpness about the 11525 last that is nice. Many of Cheaney's Signature series use the 11525.

    Poor man's Panerai?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the $120 retail you're referring to is the 6497-1, while Panerai is based on the 6497-2, which is a higher-beat movement and retails for like 5 times more. Its about 50% more but almost impossible to get retail. High demand from watchmakers like Panerai...

    Poor man's Panerai?

Dude; you are smoking too much Top Ramen. Your statement is way off. That is like saying a Ferrari 360 and a Cadillac are "almost same specs" since they both have a V-8. Panerai takes the movement and modifies it to their spec. They do not drop it in the case and sell it. Let me guess; you...

    Poor man's Panerai?

The Radiomir is a nice watch. IMO Panerai is overpriced for what they are ... tho I'm not saying they are not desirable. Since you only have budget of $1500 ... the original is out of the question. No joy for replicas/fakes ... ditto! So that leaves you with a homage like the Precista...

Can I copy the shoe tree to make the last?

I got them made in Vietnam where I'm based. Orlagu & me share the same shoemaker & he introduced the last maker to me. You can use the last as a shoetree but its going to way inconvenient as it won't be easy to take out our put in. Its also heavy as its a solid block of plastic.

Can I copy the shoe tree to make the last?

I am thinking, is it possible to copy a shoe tree to made a last. I am a size in between EG606 size 7.5 and 8, how about using an EG606 8E shoetree to copy a last? I just got a last done for my regular shoemaker. Thanks to follow forumer Orlagu. The last maker makes plastic sets for shoe...

Orlagu Actually I already have them but no times for pics just yet. Got to agree with the topies. Wearing leather soled shoes in wet weather is suicidal. Close to zero traction & grip! Wow show us the last. Can you PM me the last makers address & contact no. $10 bucks is worth a go. Oddly...

    MTM Chelsea Boots from Vietnam

Wow.. beautiful. I think when i come back to VN, i'll get myself a few pairs. Do you give them pictures of the shoes you want made or how does it work? Normally they make a shoes based on designs they have in the store. Some last are nice ... others less so. This takes about 7 days. If you go...

    MTM Chelsea Boots from Vietnam

The shop showed me their pelts/skins & there was obvious blemishes in some areas leading me to conclude they are top/full grain. You won't see blemishes like scars & stretch marks on corrected grain for the simple reason they are err ... corrected! They also absorbed shoes cream rather well...

Orlagu, They look great! 70-75% for 10% of the price is good deal to me ha ha. So what's the 25-30% thats missing? I see you went to town with the details like the last, rubber tip & toppy insert. Excellent!

How dark can you go with brown shoes

Most shades of mid -dark browns go well with blue, navy & charcoal. Just make sure your shoe shade matches your belt. Usually this is the key.

Mont Blanc Briefcase- Is This a Fake?

Its fake! Look at the cheap plastic shoulder pad on the sling. Buckle is incorrect too.

Ok let that be our next mission - shoe trees! Surely a person that can make lasts can make shoe trees ha ha! You got a contact? JLo Luffield .... Nice! Let us know how it works out. I have a Cheaney Newman that I haven't got around to wearing yet. None of the my usual shoe trees will work with...

that's less than what, USD$3? aleksandr: For some reason can't reply your PM. Actually bespoke in HCM is rather tricky. I would rather recommend Bangkok if you have time constraints. The good tailors like Dung or Nhut are not speed tailors. Also there is not much choice in terms of fabric...
