My 87 last Bexhill chukkas feel rommier all around than my Rain bluchers in the same size (8UK). I find Rain to actually feel shorter and tighter around the top (top of toe joins and instep).

    Indochino suits?

Good to hear man. I think Indochino provides pretty good value (since everything is always on sale) if you can get it done in person and plan ahead.

It's really a shame the MTO program is dead because I'd get a pair of these in natural shell. :)

Thanks. That's too bad, they are awesome.

Are these available any where or will it have to be a GMTO?

Sometimes they find additional stock that was hidden away which is possibly why it showed up. Seeing at the shoe is no longer made also explains the low price. When they were clearing them out in summer of 2015, I think I got those for $197.00 ($150 all said and done with the over $200, $50 off...

$120 million of revenue isn't a ton believe it or not. For a PE these companies are bought an sold on multiples of EBITDA. So take $120 million of revenue add in cost of sales, operating expenses you might have $20 to $40 million of earnings. For Caleras, the strategic component in brand...

Black Friday haul. First pair on Rain last. Put a little shine on the cap with black polish for a slight burnished look.

I believe Paul came around here last time Brentwood purchased AE. Hopefully he swings by again.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

After they left the forum, Carmina increased restrictions on sales to the US, which is probably why they can't or won't ship to the US. I purchased a pair from them when Carmina was still letting people in the US buy based on EUR prices, etc. I believe Carmina is pretty strict with their...

Uppers might not be good as a $450 shoe, but that last and elegance is right there. Great pick up.

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

I think everyone is overreacting. Luxire made a policy change, gave a relatively general example for the reason. At that time I don't think anyone had identified or singled out the customer. The customer in the general example then came out and identified himself as aired his grievance even...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

The part that would bother me is that the closed channel on that part of the sole would never be exposed through normal wear since you wouldn't step on that part. I'm not that picky, but if I was promised an MTO (even if promotional rates) I would expect something in line with normal first...

    Indochino suits?

I bought a tuxedo after getting measured in the NYC show room. I will say their first measurement is typically off, but that's ok. They will remake the first one and to me it seemed like they expected that. I didn't receive any push back on my remake request. In fact, my remake was a little...

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

Just received a classic blue summer oxford shirt. Really love the weight and oxford texture for year round wear in SoCal. Are there any other colors besides blue @luxire ? I think I saw white with purple checks, but that's not really something I'm interested in.

Naspratt is correct. The grain pattern will inevitably get stretched when being lasted. You'll likely get the same on all first quality grain shoes to varying degrees. This is also not just for AEs.

I guess it's actually the 19 last in the picture you've shared. I agree it looks fantastic... http://www.styleforum.net/t/168002/shoe-damage-report-shoe-p0rn-central-part-ii/2940#post_3831578
