Yes, they all tend to wear in that spot. I can't and shouldn't change the way I walk for a pair of shoes. I absolutely love the look and comfort of AE but I'm starting to question the quality even though they are apparently known for their build quality...I'll be batting .333 on keep to return...

I've had this problem with a previous pair of strands where the sole stitching wears through on the bottom of the shoe and the sole seems to separate from the shoe. This is currently happening on my players: I've had 3 pairs of AE, the previous pair that did this was returned to Nordstrom...

I have some loose threads (very small) that seem to be melted at the ends on the inside of my shoe. They sometimes poke me and it's obviously uncomfortable. The stitched square (where the start of the tongue and the uppers meet) is where they're located (on the inside of course). If I were to...

After wearing them a little more around the house I think I'm going to return them. The noise seems to be getting louder. Very annoying. I'm almost at wits end with AE. I've been trying to get a decent pair of Mcallisters for 5 months now. I've honestly had 5 pairs with each on showing some...

Yes, but not a gap. I can see a slight crack when I pull down on the heel. That was the first thing I checked. The left shoe (the culprit) has a more noticeable crack/seperation when pulling down on the heel than the right. I know the sound of the leather tongue rubbing against the uppers...

I had the pair of Mcallisters where the welt was separating from the sole (posted about 3-4 weeks ago). I returned them and ordered 2 more pairs (kept the nicer one). I have been wearing them around the office for a couple of days and have notice that the left shoe makes a light clicking...

Would you try and return them to Nordstrom's for a new pair? I should be able to.... Also, kind of off topic, but, AE's site says shoes can only be recrafted 2-3 times. Is that true? Wearing a pair 2 times a week, how long before one should have to get them recrafted?

I opted to have Nordstrom's send the shoes to their repair facility (Campus Shoe Repair in Westwood, CA) and received them back. They restitched both shoes. They look pretty good, however, after calling the shoe repair place they do not use the lock-stitch method because they do not have the...

They told me that they would have them ready for me by Wednesday. I'm in Southern California and I believe the repair factory is in the LA area. Their customer service is top notch and I assume if I have a similar problem in the coming months, they'll take care of me. Thoughts?

The guy at nordstroms offered to give me a new pair or repair them for free. I chose the repair because they are obviously broken in already. Anyone know if nordstroms repair has the capability to replicate the AE lock stitching? They are going to restitch each shoe.

Is this normal for a pair AE's after about 25-30 uses? Defect? Normal or not, these are going back to Nordstrom's today.

The one pictured is a 10D. By the luck of who knows, Nordstroms had a 10C in store. They never carry C. I talked to the guy working there and I brought home the 10C. It felt pretty snug, but, judging from how much the D stretched, I'm assuming these C's will stretch as well. I've worn them...

How's the bulge in these Mcallisters? I was fitted by a guy at Allen Edmonds in Orange County and he said that bulge is def. from being flat footed, which I am very flat footed! He let me try some super feet which improved my arch and almost took away the bulge but I don't care for the way they...

I exchanged the 10.5's for 10's and they are a bit more snug but not as snug as I thought back when I originally purchased the shoes. I believe they only had 2 pairs of 10's in the store. I ditched one of the pairs due to wrinkling leather by the outside of the lacing. He brought the next...

The further most crease digs into the bottom of my big toe nail. I called my local Nordstrom's and they have a 10 in stock right now so I'm going to go in after work and try those on. These 10.5s feel like they've definitely stretched out quite a bit, so maybe I can hope for the same with the...

These shoes only come in D's and EEE's (according to the Nordstrom's website). They just overall felt too tight. All toes but the big toe felt crunched. With the 10.5's if I wear normal athletic socks they almost feel a little tight.

Is the creasing normal on the design part of the toe? The 2 LAST description on the website says elongated toe. These are 10.5 D's. I tried the 10's and they felt way too tight for me. These are comfortable but the crease kind of pinches my toes.

If I have a pair of walnut Players and it's my only pair of AE, would it be an unwise choice to get some walnut Daltons during the Nordstrom's sale? From the pictures shown by rydenfan, they look darker than my Players.

Is that true? Any COLOR? I thought it was just the colors they were promoting (from what I've heard). In the past I haven't paid much attention to Nordstroms shoe sales

Do these minor defects warrant a return for a different pair? Also, on the toe of the other foot. I think the shoe shine guy can take this one out though.
