Best Course for a First Date

I perfected getting shot down when I finally met my wife. On our first date we went to dinner and out for coffee.

    Post Job Interview

I send them out the next day and usually work on them the night after the interview...since I am looking for a new job I have been writing a few lately.

    Cap in a fine restaurant

Jerrysfriend, if I am going out to a nice place I hope that everyone is dressed nice because it makes the experience that much more enjoyable. The only reason I didn't turn around at the place I went was the hour drive I took to get there...and I still took my hat off and was happy to sit in the...

    Post Job Interview

Abosultely send out emails to every person that you interviewed with. Personalize each letter for the person that interviewed you and use this as a chance to fix any mistakes you might have had during the interview or a chance to follow up with questions they might have had and you weren't able...

    Aftershaves

My nose is real sensative so I don't use any sort of fragarances and actually have used Olay moisturizer as aftershave. I was happy with the result. Don't know if anyone else has tried that.

    How fat are you really?

I voted and have a BMI of 28...I wear a 44 coat and 34 pants. Doesn't sound like a fat guy to me. BMI only works if you are average.

I plan to eventually get the family crest on my left upper arm. One of my younger brothers already has it and my other younger brother is going to get it as well.

    Buying clothing as a gift

Maybe another birthday before I take him shopping...don't quite have the funds for that adventure just yet. That is an excellent suggestion that I think will have to come into play next year.

    Buying clothing as a gift

He is a big fan of quantity over quality. When he first got the job and needed shirts and ties he went to Goodwill and bought like 50 of the ugliest ties you can think of...mostly rejects from the 70s. My wife and I threw out a bunch of them when he wasn't home Hmm. Maybe a white or light blue...

    Buying clothing as a gift

My wife's family has the March birthday tradition. We all get together and exchange presents... Her father is very hard to shop for so we usually get him some sort of gift card. Well now he wants gift cards to clothing stores. I think the man is color blind or just likes looking like crap so my...

    Cap in a fine restaurant

I think you should have said something to the manager. I like it when dress codes are very explicit. That helps the resturaunt and the patrons. I comitted a fashion faux pas such as that at a resturaunt once. I was with my fiance at the time (now wife) and we wanted to check out rehersal dinner...

Just starting out with first real job

Thanks again for the comments and suggestions. I do the rolled up sleeves a lot now...mostly due to cheap shirts that shrunk in the wash. It would be a comfortable look for me to tackle. retronotmetro, that jacket is what I think of when I think Bomber as well.

Just starting out with first real job

It looks a lot like this: http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatPr...._Id=202 But it is black leather and not suede. I hesitated to call it a bomber jacket but that is what Brooks Brothers calls theirs. Shows what I know...

Just starting out with first real job

The leather jacket looks like just about any jacket. Single zipper, no elastic cuff or bottom, little pulls on the sides, single button on the cuff, more of a collar than a lapel. Think light spring jacket but made out of leather and lined so it is suitable down to the 30s. Colder and style goes...

Just starting out with first real job

Thanks again.  Some great ideas.  I would have to see the spectator shoes in person...I think I would need a decent cane and a big hat to wear them.  Then again maybe not.  Those were some great looking shirts. I don't mind investing a little bit of money into some work clothes.  I don't...

Just starting out with first real job

Thank you for all the comments.  They are very helpful. amirrorcrackd, as for button-up shirts should I concentrate more on solids or patterns?  I don't have any solids so I guess that answers my question...The suits fit okay but not great and I think it has more to do with the style since...
