    Meermin Mallorca Shoes

Chestnut country calf boots from the free shipping sale In comparison with the black brogue boots, the leather is much thicker but also much softer. I think the stiffness of Meermins black shoes might come from the paint used In terms of fit (RUI vs HOK), the toebox is similar wide, but the...

CJ vs Meermin after 5 years

Both very comfortable, very nice thick and soft leather. Meermin had a thick cork bed, very soft walking but something to get used too until your toes have carved in. No idea

CJ vs Meermin after 5 years

Shoe tree no, only in the first years. Shoe cream yes, often in the beginning but then let it slip.. Trying different leather oils now (no shine but care probably lasts longer) Interesting. I also got cracks on the second shoe. I have not worn the Meermin as often in the last three years...

CJ vs Meermin after 5 years

Hi guys! Wow three years have passed, it sure feels like more. So I want to give an update about the shoes. I did indeed send the Grasmere for refurbishment to CJ, but they refused to do it because the heels had already been replaced. They said they only work on shoes unchanged by another...

CJ vs Meermin after 5 years

Here are two pairs that I have worn hard for 4-5 years. Ice, snow, dirt you name it. The tan one is Crockett & Jones Grasmere, the brown one is a Meermin Derby (Rui). The CJ is unpolished as I will send it for refurbishment. Both already got repairs at the heels (I'm wearing hard on the heels)...

Hi! I got some used shoes, which apparently have been worn often and not much cared for. However the leather seems to be not so bad, may it be that it is cordovan? It has these larger bulges like cordovan, but also small ripples inbetween, which should only appear on calf skin?
