    NYC: Lincoln Center Laundry/Dry Cleaners

    Lincoln Terrace on Amsterdam near 66th Street. They will do hand finishing, but I've found the standard service to be quite satisfactory. Mr. Chiu on 69th/Columbus in a pinch--but hand finishing is a must there and cash only.

    Probably depends on the line. I know that the "Marcus" line was made by Oxxford at one time. The raised buttons on the sleeve were the giveaway that it was an Oxxford garment. Not sure if they still even sell the Marcus label...

    Most likely fixes: 1-Stand, don't sit (at all). 2-Take pants off like Kramer. 3-Use a steamer or press.

    What kinda work do you have them do... Fairly substantial work, including waist and seat on trousers, plus slimming of jacket and work on the collar. I would definitely give them a try.

    My search for black chelsea's about 18 mos ago led me to TBNY at BG. Still one of my favorite pairs of dress shoes. I've taken good care of them (cat's paw, taps, frequent cream polish, etc) and wear the hell out of them. No complaints here.

    I've got quite a few shirts from DQ, not sure if I'd pony up for a suit though. I'm beginning to fear DQ has "jumped the shark", given increasingly broadened PR via UrbanDaddy, etc. BTW, I think Barneys dropped Kilgour this season.

    Louis Roth, at one time a respected American men's clothing line, had a turnback cuff as its signature detail on suits. Unfortunately, the brand fell into decline, and, last I saw it was available as one of the "better" suits at Men's Wearhouse 8-10 years ago.

    Stopped by Barneys Warehouse yesterday-- Dress shirts now 25% off All ties 40% off Sportswear 40% off (I think) Selection is OK--picked up a few Robert Godley and Drakes ties for about $30/each and Piatelli trim fit shirts for $60/each. Suits still only 25% off (and only red tags at that).

    Saw an ad in the WSJ this morning that de Lisi clothiers is closing out its entire stock of Brioni. Suits are now $1600-$1900 and shirts are $190.  I've never been there, so I can't comment on selection.  Given its location in a hotel, though, it's probably a small store.
