Allen Edmonds Appreciation Thread - reviews, pictures, sizing, etc...

and by the way, I ordered these in size 8. I wear 8 in casual sneakers, Red Wing round toe, and Walk-Over chukkas, but usually 8.5 in laced up dress shoes. Do you think these boots in size 8 will fit me?

Allen Edmonds Appreciation Thread - reviews, pictures, sizing, etc...

I have been wanting to buy a pair of AE shoes for so long. In fact, I have been camping for a pair of Park Avenue ever since I knew I needed them. I thought once I found them new around ~ $160 I'd pull the trigger. And then this came along. I just fell in love instantly. Minus $227 later, I...

    Clarks Desert Boots

^ The label says Men/Hommes 8M (US), 7F (UK), 41M (EU) so I guess they are what they are supposed to be. I have also found that the heel is very narrow. The length, however, is perfectly fine. In any case, with such narrow heel and width I would think they run small rather than large as the...

    Clarks Desert Boots

What a strange thing everyone is saying you should size down in Clarks DB! I wear 8 in Jack Purcells, Superga, Red Wing, Walk-Over, etc. comfortably with socks, and the DBs in size 8 I just got from Amazon were so small I could hardly slide my feet into them. And when I finally managed to the...

    Lands' End Canvas

^ LEC and LE tailored are roomier than Uniqlo. A medium might work because it's unlikely that a large will.

Good quality, fairly slim fit. The only flaw is that the inseam is a little long. I normal wear 30 inseam and these sweatpants in size S were more like 32 inseam. I don't dig the colors either.

Club Monaco: Adventures in decent clothing and horrible marketing

A.P.C. The official thread for APC denim sizing and other questions.

So I just checked out the APC store in SoHo for the first time today... and I'm hooked! Can't believe it took me that long to find out about APC. I have always been a fan of Club Monaco so APC clicks with me pretty easily. Love their shirts and jackets, very minimal, yet there's an elegance...

    The Uniqlo Thread

Just tried on their denim pattern shirt today. Fit is fantastic. It's the slim fit but more relaxed than their oxford slim fit, which I can't wear at all despite being slim/skinny. Looks great with almost everything. The only thing that bothers me is the double-stitching. For $30 it makes me...

    The Uniqlo Thread

Lands' End tailored fit is just slightly roomier than Uniqlo. Lands' End regular fit is almost the same as tailored fit in the shoulder, but chest and waist are larger. Somehow, all three of these fit me. I guess the difference between Lands' End regular fit and tailored fit is just looks. If...

    The Uniqlo Thread

You mean the long-sleeved supima tee? The material is nice but too thin. Fits pretty slim in the body but the armhole is ridiculously high and sleeve is tiny. And I think they just increased the price from $13 to $15. Lands' End Supima tee is 5x nicer and only $5 more expensive. The...

They're average. Nothing special for a $15 tee. And the supposed 2.2x markup makes me wonder if Everlane is lying to us or the factories are lying to Everlane about the cost of the item.

Club Monaco: Adventures in decent clothing and horrible marketing

That's so sad. I think I spent more money on CM than any other brand in 2013. Some of my friends are getting into it too. But it's true that CM caters to a very narrow niche (slim-built fashion-forward urban chic 20-30something with money) and their reach is nowhere as far as J.Crew.
