    Knit Sweater Fit Quandary

Thanks for your input on the sizing! In answer to your curiosity, it was Harrods and I was in there to pick up something specific from a different (non-clothing) department before making a flight out of London. I noticed the sweater as I was battling through the crowds on my way out. Then...

    Knit Sweater Fit Quandary

Thanks for your opinion, I had noted myself that the sleeves on the medium are a touch long. I really have no experience of wool clothing (other than suits of course) but I assume that the garment will stretch out a bit over time? The pictures aren't great, I know, but the elbow patch on the...

    Knit Sweater Fit Quandary

Hi guys, Picked up a PRL cashmere sweater at very deep discount earlier today. They only had two left, one in small and one in medium. I didn't have time to try on in store and since they were so cheap I bought both - I'll return one tomorrow. The thing is, not having much experience with...

    Alfred Sargent Exclusive Ramsey

Hi guys, I've wanted a pair of double monks for a while and quite like the look of the AS Ramsey. Never having had AS before, can anyone comment on the quality of the exclusive range in general and the Ramsey in particular? I'm most interested in upper leather quality, and by quality I mean...

Hi guys, wanted to buy a trench for quite a while and finally got round to buying an Aquascutum Corby single breasted coat. Decided to go for the sngle as I'll be wearing it open at least as much as closed and didn't want too much material flapping around. Anyway, I was torn between a 38 or 40...

Let's speak high end suits here

Sorry to slightly jack the thread but for some reason it won't let me create new threads - because I'm new? Anyway, sticking with suits, is it possible to pick up a RL purple Label suit jacket on its own or do they only come in the set? Reason I asked is that I picked up a pair of the trousers...

The official thrift/discount store bragging thread

Picked up a pair of RL Purple Label (they're definitely genuine) from a thrift shop today for £30. Brand new and unworn. Now I just need to keep my eyes open for a matching jacket and I'm good to go!

That's really nice. Do you bother to keep the moonphase in synch or just let it run however?

    What's wrong with these boots?

I doubt this would cause any major issues, so long as the upper and sole feel like they're tight together then I'd just go ahead and wear them. You might find that the stitching wears a little more quickly than expected if its not set in the sole properly but other then that should be fine.
