I actually feel pretty good . It's more the frustration of what I'm not allowed to do at this point but after coming within days, maybe even hours, of ending up in a wheelchair with a colostomy bag for the rest of my life I'm obeying doctors orders to the letter.

What TV Series Are You Streaming Lately?

Not as heavy with "old pros" as the movies but still a fun series.

Oh I'm sure they would but calling someone you haven't talked to in 20 years and asking them to snake a drain for you would be a pretty azzhole move. It'll keep for another month🤷‍♂️

I have a tub/shower that needs to be snaked. Because of a recent spinal surgery I physically can't do it myself so I'm running the shower on grey water mode because I just can't see paying some RotoRooter guy 4-500 bucks to do something I can do myself in 20 mins

Bald cut the vent and drain, loosen the fernco, pull out the whole tee assembly, copy the whole thing in abs ( or pvc if allowed there) reinstall with no hub couplings.

Yeah a thumbs up so far for Shogun. I read the book years ago, watched the Richard Chamberlain mini series and it still works for me.

Tahoe. I've always found March to be the best powder days of the year. The pattern shifts to cold storms out of the Gulf of Alaska. Enjoy the face shots and white rooms. Getting old sucks. * Extremely heavy snow with BLIZZARD CONDITIONS expected in the Sierra late this week, heaviest Friday...

I think I hate San Francisco.

Macy's stores are in their own doom loop nation wide so not unexpected

I just googled stroopwafels and realized I've been eating them for years and didn't even know what they were. My wife's from Wisconsin so I get exposed to all this exotic fare.

Commercial overfishing and climate change. Same with the SoCal lobster and local salmon. I was really active with the diving community in the Monterey Bay Area for years. Mostly free diving and spearfishing. Sad to see that change.

Yeah we just went up and rented a place that had 3 bedrooms, a hot tub and sauna. It was free diving for abs and maybe some spearfishing in the morning then party, eating, drinking and other treats. Rinse and repeat the next day. Damn good times

As a Vietnam vet '67/'68 I am drop jawed amazed at the fascination with the lowly field jacket. I threw mine away when I got out and in those days the only civilians who wore them were hobos and hippies. Well I guess I was what you'd call a hippie for a number of years but no field jackets for me.

    Things you just don't get

A friend of mine worked at a place called Sees Candies in South San Francisco . He has this great tale about a tanker truck of heated milk chocolate, a pump hose issue, and a gang of 8-10 yo neighborhood kids. Let's just say they stopped one of them who was headed home with a little red wagon...

I'll bite. Why are milk and gasoline the only two liquids transported in tanker trucks? (obviously they're not)
