Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

What's up with the Collar/Order Google list? Google says it's in the user's trash and will be removed soon. Did anybody make a working copy?

Luxire Custom Clothing - Official Affiliate Thread

Guess I'll never understand that. Probably wouldn't be much of a deal if it had always been like that. I ordered two shirts from Kamakura for a total 120 €, well declared with invoice outside the package and paid about 22 € taxes. I think that's quite fair. The ridiculous FedEx/DHL fees some...

How to Achieve Such a Beautiful Knot?

Worst case: knot stays the same but you still own a new good quality tie. ;)

How to Achieve Such a Beautiful Knot?

How the knot looks depends heavily on the tie. I've got one from Drake's that forms a much better knot than any other of my ties. Slightly OT: few people around here and in the #menswear universe like the Windsor due to its mostly boring symmetry and huge size.

Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store

Can't see any significant shrinkingon a broadcloth when washed at 30° C (almost cold). Concerning the sizing: I noticed that the Tokyo Slim Fit I have pulls a bit in the chest area. If I bend my shoulders a little, it doesn't. Compared the shirt with a Cottonwork MTM and noticed that there the...

That's strange. I read it here: http://custom.luxire.com/pages/shipping-returns I'll see on my first order if that's true.

Well, as a European, I'll pay $15 shipping under $100. So it's either take something more luxurious to get to $100 or to bite the bullet and pay $15 extra for a $60 Oxford shirt. Or order two shirts. I'd say US terms are pretty fair. ;)

Oh Germany, it is so easy to make fun of you.

So much touche! (Guess we'll soon have all German-speaking members collected in this thread)

Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store

The size guide on their store website is quite comprehensive, isn't it?

Kamakura Shirts - Madison Ave Store

Agree. Sleeves and cuffs are quite wide. But the cuff button is far to the edge of the cuff, so it won't look awkward after moving it, I'd say. Maybe I'm gonna let my tailor slim the sleeves if it's not too expensive. Fabric and overall quality are superb. If the sleeves weren't that wide, it...

Agree. I fell in love with the Navy nailhead 10oz flannel at NMWA. Perfect cloth and cut to me.

Do you own a navy suit? If not, I'd preferably get one of these: http://eu.suitsupply.com/de_DE/suits/sienna-blau-birds-eye-muster/P2445.html?start=12&q=sienna http://eu.suitsupply.com/de_DE/suits/sienna-navy-unifarben/P3467.html?start=13&q=sienna

I am looking for a versatile summer jacket and pants and saw this Havana linen suit on pre-order. Do you think it can be split up when I feel like doing so? The jacket configuration is pretty casual (patch pockets, soft shoulders), so I don't see a problem there, do you?

And I am amazed about the level of care for Rudals! BTW thanks for the suggestions in the first post. Conrad Wu's ties are absolutely stunning.

Yes, I have one pant let out quite a lot. They usually have enough material to make alterations.

Color of Pants for Navy or Camel Colored Blazers

I do like some Glencheck or houndstooth odd pants. Would not go too fancy though. For a camel blazer I saw some very dark grey/anthracite combinations that looked very good (I think it was a putthison article).

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part III

My first contribution here. PS is sky blue, not puffing white silk here. ;) Would've chosen a more winter-like shirt if I had one. Otherwise I am pretty satisfied.
