Dress Shoes and Plantar Fasciitis
You really need to consider Mephisto. I currently own three pairs... Phoebus, Libio, and a very funky urban sneaker in the Storm. I'm a pharma rep that used to sport AE on a daily basis, but had to give it up due to the aches. Mephisto really doesn't get the credit it deserves on this board...- gregfsu

Thank you for the positive reinforcement. I didn't state it in the original post, but they're the Mephisto Phoebus. My work rotation consist of AE Leeds in brown calf and black Park Avenue. Multiple factors such as rain, heat, and comfort led to my decision.- gregfsu

Opinions Requested: Split Toe Blucher
I'm a pharmaceutical representative. Today I purchased a pair of black calf split toe bluchers to wear specifically for work with my standard issue navy suit. Your thoughts on the split toe blucher? Is it appropriate for wear with a suit? I passed up going with a cap toe. Thanks, Greg- gregfsu

I am not sure of your situation vis-a-vis the number of opportunities you will have to wear your black tie ensemble but it is worth mentioning that highly polished calfskin oxfords are also acceptable with black tie and you are bound to get a lot more use out of them compared to the patent...- gregfsu
