Made to measure shirts in London
Harvie and Hudson does bespoke shirts for (if I remember correctly) about 200 -- not cheap at all. I'm sure you can find some cheaper if you do some searching. You can buy OTR and they will charge about ~15-20 to shorten the sleeves. One inch is doable, but three would probably not be. It...- jamesphw

Hunter boots in Toronto
I'd always say choose what's functional before choosing what's stylish. With that said, unless you are walking to work in the very worst of winter conditions, you don't need hunter boots in Toronto.- jamesphw

Brooks Brothers 1818 Harris Tweed Sport Coat--where is it made?
Harris tweed cloth is by definition made in the UK. OP, I suspect most jackets you find OTR will be made in China, including jackets sold in the UK. I have BB stuff that is labelled made in China, although I don't know about this particular jacket. I'm not sure what you have against China, but...- jamesphw

MTM suits Toronto - ceiling $1,100 - no one found?
I've seen Rego advertise $899 for their MtM suits, although that advertised price normally means you have to add $2-300 for a fabric you would want. Slimmest fitting OTR dress shirts?
The price point certainly suggests pretty low quality. It's inconsistent in my experience. I have some TM Lewin that feel and look like nice shirting fabrics, and look brand new after 15-20 wears. Wide vs Skinny Lapel
Does anyone else think of the lapel size in terms of age? They are both nice, but in my mind wide lapels fit men 40+, skinny lapels on men 25-35. I don't know why that's my image, but it is.- jamesphw

Canada import duty
To update: the item shipped via USPS, and I was charged HST (Ontario - 13%) but no duty. However, I do not yet actually have my bag since I missed the delivery and will have to pick it up over the weekend... hmph.- jamesphw

Slimmest fitting OTR dress shirts?
The slimmest fit I ever bought was a Hugo boss extra slim fit (and I regret it -- it's too slim for me). Second to that, TM Lewin's John Francomb shirts are your best bet (that I know of, at least).- jamesphw

Question about ironing wool pants
Lined wool trousers? That seems a bit strange. Anyhow, I suppose it depends what the lining is. If it's a synthetic, tread carefully (low heat!). However, I have ironed wool with silk lining before and have had no problems (obviously iron the wool side, not the silk side.)- jamesphw

I'll post here when I get it -- I'm not an expert on Canadian duties, so it may have been foolish. I probably should have investigated it, considering I could have easily just had it shipped to a US address while I'm travelling there (and legally carried it back).
