RM Williams Boots - Everything You Wanted to Know

Am debating Comfort vs. standard leather Turnout...has anyone had both? Am wondering if the Comfort is so much more comfortable that it's worth giving up the traditional leather-soled, more expensive look for. TIA!

Leather Jackets: Post Pictures of the Best You've Seen/Owned?

I picked up this Nico piece last winter from SS during one of their sales. What is SS?

Decent inexpensive (as possible) "cap-toe" shoe to wear with suit pants?

I would go with these AE Brown Park Avenues from Amazon at $153.40, together with some of this and some elbow grease. I wear a 9; the only size in that price is the extra narrow or extra wide which I'm skeptical will work, unfortunately...would rather just get a medium-ish width...

Decent inexpensive (as possible) "cap-toe" shoe to wear with suit pants?

Thanks for all the feedback everyone! Decisions, decisions. Guess I'm leaning towards the Johnston Murphy suggestion as there is an outlet near me--their price on those is roughly $150 including tax. The Nunes Coreas are tempting at a +$60 savings (after shipping and Euro conversion they're...

Decent inexpensive (as possible) "cap-toe" shoe to wear with suit pants?

I'd like to buy some black "cap-toe" style shoes to wear with a suit I purchased. Unfortunately, I know zero about decent shoes and would ordinarily just buy something at the mall. Perhaps that's OK--but I guess if I can find a good "bang for buck" item here that would be great. I know this may...

Shirt worthy of Xmas party (cocktail-wear) that doesn't have to be tucked in?

Yeah--this isn't "black tie"--but there *will* be a lot of ties at the event--but plenty that do just a dress shirt and slacks and no tie. I hadn't considered the above though--never worn that look but that could work...

Shirt worthy of Xmas party (cocktail-wear) that doesn't have to be tucked in?

Arrrgh...I'm trying to decide if I'm going to this Xmas party or not. I've got a short torso but longer legs and always look awful in shirts that are tucked in. Additionally have put on 10lbs around the middle--am going to have to work hard at the gym next year--anyway I'm hating everything I'm...

t-shirts to wear with a blazer and jeans

Do you have to live in New York to order/buy from Uniqlo? The online stores seem to be for Japan and the U.K. only.

The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Brei

I'm speechless. Speechless! I make a decent income and all--but setting aside 8k of disposable income on my dream watch (a Panerai Daylight--steel band please) seems like something that may never happen. Yet there are photos here not of one Panerai--but a collection of them.

Trendy/Fashionable Black "going out" shoe recommendation?

at the top of this page is a link to YOOX.COM one of the sponsors of SF. They have a wide range of fashion forward shoes. As an alternate to a boot you might look at some of the oxford styles (a traditional shape that has laces) with some stylish treatments like destrested leather, and...

Trendy/Fashionable Black "going out" shoe recommendation?

Thanks very much for the replies. After looking at these (I'd never heard any of these terms, i.e., Chelsea, Wholecut, etc., before) -- the Chelsea boot is definitely something I could see myself in. *Where* would you find those for $40 (as mentioned above?) That must have been quite a deal...

Trendy/Fashionable Black "going out" shoe recommendation?

Fashion in general is simply not something I'm real knowledgeable about and don't really know where to start with this. I would like to buy some black shoes for going out/clubbing/dinner that are a lot nicer/current than what I currently wear. Perhaps embarrassingly, I'm a bespectacled...
