    That is what I was trying to convey. Tailored clothing can make a man look either rakish or ridiculous, as well as shorter or taller, fatter or thinner. It is necessary for the tailor to choose models, fabrics and patterns that flatter one's shape while minimising one's defects.

    A proper tailor should be able to hide one's physical defects. Hence, a small, heavy man can be made to look as "good" (whatever that is supposed to mean anyway) as a tall, slim man. Besides, being tall and slim is not necessarily advantageous. So I would disagree. Cartoonishly slim suits...
