I agree with this. As for me, I'm not one that gets hung up on strict rules though. Not to say that I don't try to fall within a reasonable parameter but I don't obsess over exact trouser length or amount of break, etc. But I do take notice when something falls out of a, imo, reasonable...- RockyTop

I understand his outfit is a particular "style" and probably adheres to the "rules" of that style. I was just somewhat surprised that type of style, often championed by the likes of GQ/#menswear was embraced here at CM.- RockyTop

If people like what they wear I guess that's really all that matters. But for the sake of discussion it's just curious to me how anyone can critique fit if it varies so greatly. If trouser length is appropriate anywhere from the a certain point near the heel to a couple inches above the ankle...- RockyTop

I was just under the impression that the Classic Menswear section of SF was more about timeless style and not fads/trends you find in GQ and other #menswear sites. IMO the ultra-short and ultra-tight trend just looks bad. And I have seen both many time irl and the majority just look like they...- RockyTop

Thanks for the explanation. You were talking more in terms of whether it was a formal outfit / suit and not in regards to whether it looked good. Imo the short pants just looks like the wearer bought the wrong size or wearing some hand-me-downs that don't fit. All that's missing from this look...- RockyTop
