Advice on next pair of shoes please

Subjective but I'd go monk straps for flannels and cords, but you've got to wear your trews with no break

Tailor in London for a classic navy three piece wedding suit

Peckham Rye, just off Carnaby Street. Adam of London (Shener) Notting Hill also does good quality peg suit, which I think they'll MTM. Might be quicker than going full bespoke

HOF: What Are You Wearing Right Now - Part IV (starting May 2014)

Can't provide a picture because I'm at work, but wearing a close-knit dark brown V neck, brown, white, grey, black button down short. Tan jumbo cords and loakes sunburst/burnised derby laced shoes 3 eyelet shoes (obsolete model - had them 20 years and still going strong). DAKS 3 button sports...

What is your experience with cashmere suits?

Never had a full cashmere suit, I would imagine they would go like flannel after a bit and not hold shape. Most of the clique I hang with wear mohair blends

How many White Dress Shirts do you own

Around 8, seconded by blue at around 6. These are not counting patterned shirts. For me, it's difficult to beat the universal white shirt which always looks crisp and smart. I would also argue they are not boring when you apply them correctly

Why Do the English Dress So Horridly?

I wonuldn't associate London with the English anyway. London is a highly cosmopolitan city with many races and cultures. I'm English and being a mod of sorts, have learned how to put clothes together and how to steer clear of fashion. It's unfair to judge everyone the same

Dress shirts with a slightly higher collar band?

DNA Groove http://www.dnagroove.it/en/prodotti.php?idcat=2&cat=man. Really nice shirts in limited numbers. You may have to check where he will export to and please check the size chart as they are made in European sizes

The Watch Appreciation Thread (Reviews and Photos of Men's Timepieces by Rolex, Patek Philippe, Brei

I'm not really a fan of large face watches, they tend to be a bit too gimicky for my liking but I have seen one or two decent designs

    The Constructive Criticism Thread

Like the first pic. Not my choice but it goes together well. The second pic. I'd go with a navy blazer or brown cord jacket. I think you'll need a fedora and a violin case. Just kidding. Looks good, but if it was me I'd go with a 3 button jacket (not a fan of 2 buttons) although it does...

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

Quote: I find they dry with a whitish residue on them. Looking for a hard neutral polish myself. Currently wearing a pair of old pattern Loakes no longer available to buy. Must be 20 years old at least and still in good nick

    LOAKE APPRECIATION THREAD

I have around 6 pairs of Loakes ranging from their brand of desert boots to their Rome moccasins and some discontinued lines. They're excellent value mid range shoes which will last years

Navy blazer, tan shoes. What shirt and pants do you go with?

You'll need light colours. A pale blue button-down shirt, white, cream or light grey trousers. If I wear different coloured jacket and trousers without a tie, I'd go for a puff-folded pocket square

    Are Low Vamp Loafers Out?

Loafers look good but you've got to know how to wear them ... and I'm not talking about just pulling them on your feet

    Double Breasted Style.

I agree with you 100%, it's always gotta be a tie for me and the higher the opening gorge on the jacket, the better IMO. A lot of my mates wear DB suits but it's more of a winter thing; they don't look right open. Quite a few mates are going do the path of having a jacket only made and wearing...

    Waistcoats

They can look good but I would never wear one being a bit portly; I'd look like the station master seeing off the trains. A few of my frinds wear them but they are generally made of the same material their suits are made from. The biggest advice I can give is to stay away from the novelty ones.

    Dark Navy Blazer...what slacks

Quote: I would never wear black trousers with a navy blazer, even in brilliant sunlight. In the dark you'd look like you are wearing a strange fitting suit. Stick with grey, khaki, cream and white, maybe even a very pale blue.

    Shoes w/ Navy Blazer

If it was me, I'd go for off white or pale cream trousers with plain black shoes not brogues. I'd go with a pale blue solid pattern shirt or a black and white gingham pattern, both with button collars. I wouldn't wear a neck tie unless it's a DB blazer and I'd probably go with a loosely folded...
