Better late than never The Daily Mirror photo of the boy and girl in sheepskins facing camera was 10 October 1969 I don't know how to enlarge but the date is top r/h side I will leave in your capable hands M-O-M. They are all from the Daily Mirror. I did have the exact date of the fella and girl pics and I am sure they were late 69 and the others followed in 70 I need to look where I have this noted somewhere and get back to you- Aces and Eights

DJ you are exactly right - thats how we were in 69. also only plain colours - no patterns - usually 1/2 inch wide- Aces and Eights

We used to get our Jungle Greens from Army Surplus store 'Sams' in Woolwich SE London. I can still to this day remember the musty smell and the stacks of clobber piled up to the ceiling- Aces and Eights

Good post roytonboy I commented way back on the thread that back in 69/71 we were smart but subtle. Also generally everything we wore had a purpose or was for a particular function and not just a fashion fad. I had a beige / oatmeal one that I wore a lot as they were comfy and giving you movement for your arms. On an occasion at Margate on a Bank Holiday my shirt got ripped in a row and I ended up with just the sleeveless cardigan on my top half - so I could show off my muscels, tan and tattoos - oh...- Aces and Eights
