    Naked and famous denim

You could therefore also say that whiskers, honeycombs, stacks, and hell, even fades look stupid, it's just fading indigo, there's no 'purpose'. If you're into raw denim then stained shoes come with the territory. If this bothers you so much then either buy darker shoes or screw raw denim, buy...

    RLBL - Installing Working Buttonholes

+1 Also, shortening the sleeves at the shoulders, which is necessary with working buttonholes, is often almost or just as expensive as getting the buttonholes made.

    WAYWRN: Classic Menswear, Casual Style

This is great. Would love to see how it looks with the jacket buttoned as well as the sleeves shortened a touch but I like it a lot.

A.P.C. The official thread for APC denim sizing and other questions.

If it's any consolation, it will be a style that won't draw strange looks from other people for 6 months. Jeggings belong on a girl.

Best white undershirt that won't shrink

+1 on ribbedtee but grey, not white, unless you have the complexion of dracula after a long dry spell.

You sure about that? Second pic looks like a woman

Any possible way it could work?

To go a bit against the grain here, it's definitely possible that it could work, given one or more of the following scenarios: 1) It's really dark. 2) Viewer is really stoned and/or drunk (preferably both). 3) You are standing waist deep in water and somebody near you is making a lot of ripples.

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

I'm not entirely sure what you expect to gain by trying on an off the rack jacket (properly fitting or not) when you say you're having a bespoke suit made. A proper bespoke tailor goes off your measurements, taken directly from your body (by him/herself or a trusted assistant). Chest and...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

So you'd be checking out a side view of yourself to ascertain balance first and foremost while ignoring the bowed lapels (which takes up fabric on the front of the jacket, practically guaranteeing a balance skewed to the rear) and the fact that you're about to bust the shoulder and side seams...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

The only thing this clears up is that you're still not getting it. Fit in a suit begins with the chest and shoulders. That's always the first step. There's no such thing as "let out the chest and let out the shoulders" because if you've got both of those problems in the same jacket then you've...

Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please.

It's not so much the color but the brightness that causes a white undergarment to show through. It's basically the same reason why it's a better idea to wear a gray (grey?) undershirt with a dress shirt, because white undershirts tend to show, being especially obvious at the upper arms where...

The point isn't to blend in with your pants, it's to blend in with your legs.

What would you do in my situation...?

I would give them exactly one chance to make it right, not by wasting any more of your time "fixing" a botched job because your wedding is only 10 days away and quite frankly I'm sure you have other things you'd rather be spending your time on, but by exchanging as you requested. If such a...

The Tailors' Thread: Fit Feedback and Alteration Suggestions

Put on a jacket that actually fits, then post/ask again. It's useless and a waste of time to critique a fit where everything that is possibly wrong, is wrong.

Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please.

Doesn't have to be skin color, just heather gray (+/- depending on your skin tone) will work just fine and probably much easier to find, too.

Charles Tyrwhitt has the same issue as Brooks Brothers, in that their "slim fit" isn't really that slim at all. I really recommend you try the "Tailored Fit" instead.

Ask A Question, Get An Answer... - Post All Quick Questions Here (Classic menswear)

You're going to have to either settle for "close enough" plus a good tailor, or go MTM/custom made. That's one of the negatives of having anything much beyond an 8" drop, you're way at the twilight zone of the bell curve and mall clothes just aren't designed with you in mind.

Red Wing Boots - Your Opinion

I briefly had these in "oro-iginal" color but sent them back because I didn't like the color. Anyway, they fit fine just like my other RW boots; I follow the usual recommendation of sizing down half.

Have to wear Men's Wearhouse Tux for a wedding....

Must be a pretty close cousin, because if it was mine it'd be an automatic decline on principle. Dictating how you want someone to look at your wedding is all well and good but then making them also foot the bill is in extremely poor taste. IMO, of course.

Ultimate noob thread - recommend me X in my wardrobe - post questions here please.

Which fit in Charles Tyrwhitt did you try? I used to have the same issue and had resigned myself to getting all my shirts tailored but then I tried CT Tailored Fit which come darted in the back, and the fit is dead-on. I'm 6', 185lb, 42 chest 31 waist, and wear 16.5/35 for CT Tailored Fit.
