    Is shipping from France outrageously expensive?

    I bought a hat on eBay from a French seller for about $30. I just got the invoice, and the shipping is 43,50E! That's like seventy dollars. I recently bought a hat from the UK, and postage was like $15 or $20. Am I wrong for thinking that that's a bit crazy?
