An Exchange I Had With RuPaul

RuPaul was on my radio show this week. (A sharp dude in menswear, incidentally. Was wearing a beatiful seersucker suit.) We were talking about the crazy outfits he's worn over the years - dresses, suits and otherwise. He'd asked me about whether I ever wore crazy costumes, and I mentioned some...

    Put This On: Consolidation (Milan)

We're very proud of this one, which is the last episode of our second season. When Milan was chosen as one of our cities, we felt like we couldn't leave without doing something about the way that the fashion megaconglomerates have changed everything there over the past twenty years or so...

Colorblindness: How Do You Deal With It?

I'm not colorblind myself, but I know a huge number of men are... something like one in ten. Once in a while these dudes write me at Put This On asking for help, but I don't know what to tell them. So for those of you who are color blind, how do you deal with it?

Molloy & Sons Donegal Tweed (in Donegal)

I was in Donegal a week or so ago, and Sean & Kieran Molloy of Molloy & Sons invited me to tour their tweed-making facilities. Outside of a couple of folks who hand-weave blankets and stuff for tourists and Magee, they're the last actual Donegal tweed being made in Donegal. They're fifth or...

    Donegal in Donegal?

Has anyone purchased Donegal tweed in Donegal? I'm going to be there for a few days this fall, and wondered if there were any mills or hand-loomers who sold yardage to the public.

Is shipping from France outrageously expensive?

I bought a hat on eBay from a French seller for about $30. I just got the invoice, and the shipping is 43,50E! That's like seventy dollars. I recently bought a hat from the UK, and postage was like $15 or $20. Am I wrong for thinking that that's a bit crazy?
