I am breaking in a new pair of black Allen Edmonds Maclennans by wearing them for a few hours around the house after work. Should I put shoe trees in them after doing so?

By sheer luck, I was invited to my first black tie event (charity event in Vancouver, so all manner of non-black-tie will be on display) in the same week that I received a coupon for a free tuxedo from Moores. Unfortunately, all they had was two button peak lapel Joseph Abboud. As far as I can...

So I've washed and worn and washed the shirt, and am now trying to decide how I like the measurements. I am also wondering if it's worth having this one altered. If I were to order another shirt today I would probably make these alterations: chest .25" or .5" larger sleeve .5" smaller forearm...

Proper Cloth - Official Affiliate Thread

Just received my first shirt, which is also my first real foray into online MTM. Fit is pretty good pre-wash. May look into a few small alterations just to dial it in as much as possible while it's free. Is there any way to filter for shirts that are not 'wrinkle resistant?'

    Any One for a Scotch?

At a bar the other night I saw they offered an Ardbeg caesar. I couldn't not order it, and it was exactly what it sounds like: a caesar with Ardbeg instead of vodka. I didn't find out which Ardbeg. The smoke actually worked well, but the sweetness, in an otherwise savory drink, definitely did...

Local stores have Talisker 1996 Distiller's Edition for the same price as the regular Talisker 10. A better way to try something salty?

Does anyone generally sip cask strength undiluted? If not, how much does one generally dilute it by, and by what means?

The Macallan 15 is $150. I went for the A'Bunadh, batch 45. So far I'm liking it; very different from the HP 12. I get a lot of Orange and cinnamon, then wood and a sort of numbing feeling on my tongue :)

Aberlour A'Bunadh is 'only' $95. Would that be comparable in flavor? I want to see if I like sherried scotch.

At the same price point ($99 CAD) should I get Macallan 12 or Glenfarclas 17?

    Any One for a Scotch?

I am building a collection, starting with highland park 12 and glenfiddich 15. Next perhaps macallan 10, glenmorangie 10, or talisker 10. Prices in british columbia are some of the worst

OTC socks: once you try them no going back?

Just bought my first pair of gold toe OTC and I don't think I'll be buying any other style (apart from thicker wool boot socks.) Going rate on amazon seems about $7 per pair, which I think is very reasonable.

    Entry Level Business Formal Shoes

At least in BC, when crossing the border there are no duties on American-made goods such as AE. Also if you live near a border, use a receiving service and then shipping is free, just drive across the line and pick them up. I just bought two pairs of AE seconds for $250 + tax.

Anyone know how long the 2/250 is continuing? What are the odds that a stock list I received on monday is still relatively current?
