Simple dress jacket, a suit for the first day is too much. Dark jeans to go with. Still, I like the boutonierre quite a lot but I might drop the idea since it might be way too much.- Lancer

Hi everyone, new guy over here :) I wanted to ask what's the rules of wearing a boutonierre - can they be worn at not semi-special events (first day of university) or is it a style no no in this case (overload of details)?
