    If its any help I bought a sweatshirt from them a few days ago. I was impressed with the quality, the material was thicker than expected but still soft. I bought it for £25 reduced from £50.

    Depends on how you wear them really. If you only walk from your house to your car and from your car to your office it may take quite a few wears. They should feel more comfortable every time you wear them though. I've never owned a pair of C&Js so I couldn't say if they are especially stiff...

    Oak bark tanned leather can be quite stiff when it is new. Give it time and they'll ease up and be more flexible than dainite.

    I'm considering a pair of Church's and it's described as being made on 'the new Church flexi leather sole unit'. Any idea about what this is? I vaguely remember someone saying it was simply that the leather sole is not compressed as much during manufacturing. Can anyone confirm this?

    Only with one pair of shoes I own. They are lined with dyed black leather and I usually wear them without socks. I don't always get marks when I wear them though, only if I have been sweating.
