    Atlanta Shopping

I have to check this location out. Thanks. It's actually called the Loehmann's Plaza...I don't know why I always forget it's there.

    Atlanta Shopping

My sister lives near there too (on Mason Mill Rd.). It's a pretty small Loehmann's and is sort of hidden in that plaza next to Office Max or something. I had been there on a couple of other trips to ATL and to be honest, the menswear selection was very weak - not even a few nice ties imo. The...

    Atlanta Shopping

I did find a beautiful selection of the Robert Talbott sterling cufflinks at Loehmann's (Briarcliff & N. Druid Hills) for $60 and bought a couple. They probably still have some and probably marked them down. I live around the corner and sometimes forget its even there, even though my wife likes...

    I don't like Allen-Edmonds

I returned the Grayson's a few weeks back and the Orlando store had a pair of the Brown Winhall's shipped to my house. I'm taking those back today, I hadn't tried them on until they arrived, but they just make my feet look stubby. Hopefully the Orlando store will finally have the Cordovan...

Business Casual in Florida (warm weather)

I live down here in Brevard County as well (Titusville), and I have a job that will take me outside of the office to a job site or two. I usually wear Chinos and a knit polo or maybe even a button down. I maybe get to break out the sweaters and jackets two months out of the year.

    Your favorite shoe shops!

E in Orlando, then again, I'm in Orlando........not much here in the first place.

seersucker pants w/ or w/o socks and shoe colour?

I wear them all the time, and since my family's been living in Florida for quite a very long time, it's pretty much required. Mid-brown shoes with socks, or if it's really casual, white or blue canvass shoes with no socks. I have a couple of pairs of white and blue, and a pair that are tan and...

two auctions of pure shoe Appreciation, altho sized 12-13

I saw those 11.5s this morning and put them on my 'watch' list. Pretty large sizes?!! I've noticed that alot of the guys here weare 8s and 9s. I wear an 11.5 and my brother a 13. What are we, freaks or something?

Rolex Datejust - stuck between two variations

Yes it is large and maybe hideous, but from a technical standpoint, it seems revolutionary. The programable countdown timer is amazing, no other Yacht Timer comes close. I just wish Rolex made it in SS with a black dial....and not so expensive.

What does the forum think of Cordovan?

I appreciate the advice everyone. I've moved away from DC for now. I kind of wish I knew that, I used to work in the 4000 block of Wisconsin. Thanks.

What does the forum think of Cordovan?

Not really surprising. As long as the glue doesn't break (this is the real question), the rubber soles on some of the KC's can last for a long time. Especially the versions with heavy rubber sole that didn't have air gaps in the sole. They had leather soles, not rubber. The black pair was worn...

Rolex Datejust - stuck between two variations

I personally think that the fluted bezel on SS/WG Datejust looks fine. The only other thing would be a milled SS bezel on SS Datejust, but that looks better with an Oyster bracelet and not the Jubilee.

Rolex Datejust - stuck between two variations

With the SS/WG Datejust, the entire bracelet is SS, it's just that the center links are polished, only the bezel is WG. That's why there's a big difference in price between a SS/WG and a SS/YG Datejust. White and rose gold are usually more expensive, but in the Datejust there is very little WG...

What does the forum think of Cordovan?

Thanks, that's what I figured. I'm in the process of updating my wardrobe, I've been wearing the same two pairs of Kenneth Cole squared toed Oxford shoes since I was an intern on the Hill six years ago, one in black, one in brown. I wore them with everything, suits, slacks, khakis, denim. At...

What does the forum think of Cordovan?

I recently (last night) purchased a pair of AE Grayson shoes in Merlot to wear with my brown, grey, and blue suits. This is the first pair of slip on tasselled dress shoes I've had since I was about 12, since then I've always worn lace-ups. Although I did have a female companion with me and she...
