    When I go to one of the nicer NYC shoeshine places, I notice that they use a clear liquid to clean my shoes and remove polish before they begin with the shine. Any of you guys know what that liquid is? My guess is that it's either acetone or isopropyl alcohol (i.e. rubbing alcohol).
