Here are the shorts. I sized up to an X - they measure 18.25" flat so basically a 36 in a size X. They use an unusual hook for the closure. I don't remember the style name but I've included the swing tag which shows the style code.- ike_hiking_boots

I was after a pair of these in Navy and eventually tried a pair on at the Sale Store last year and was hugely disappointed - they just didn't work for me. zippyh's advice is probably the best solution - look for any style on the 4444 Last in a UK size 11 - it should fit like a UK 11.5 which is the same as a US 12.5. A 6 (wide) fit - I doubt that will make enough difference. I wear both 5 and 6 fits in 4497s in the same shoe style and I don't size...- ike_hiking_boots

If you paid full retail send them back. Saying that just about every pair of Tricker's I've received has had some form of imperfection. Their QC is pretty terrible, especially when you consider the prices. I guess it depends on what you're prepared to tolerate.- ike_hiking_boots

I think your first port of call is to contact Tricker's Customer Service, especially if you paid full retail. Is it possible they've sent you samples because it sure looks like it.
