Thanks for the feedback, all. It's difficult to find dark brown bluchers that are formal enough to wear with suits. I really like the looks of this one, but I'm a 10.5D/E in a Barrie so in a Plaza I think I'd need an 11, which they don't have in stock...- Ross57

The Donegal tweed Rivets look great. I'm deliberating between the original and current fit. Re tailoring: I realize the current fit can't be let out. But can it be taken in? Mike, will you be restocking Rivet sizes any time soon? I'm hoping for a 33 in the canvas fatigue. Have to admit, my initial skepticism about the redesign was unfounded. Done. Ordered the 11 yesterday. Thanks for the helpful response. Not at the moment - we just have a restock of Saddle/Gum planned for October. That said, I think that you could wear the 11. The Leydon runs a little narrow for most guys, and I know that many Alden stores actually use the "E"...- Ross57

New-style Rivet purchasers: how are you feeling about the narrower leg opening? Size 33 has a 14.5" opening, an inch narrower than the original version's. I'm sure it'll look great worn with boots, but I worry about the possibility of "clown shoe" effect If I'm wearing a pair of, say, Alden...- Ross57

I too agree. I'm a relatively recent convert to EP. With my initial purchase of two pair of Rivets a few months back, I thought I'd finally found the perfect chino.
