Agreed, the 1705s have been my jeans to wear this summer! I tried contacting Jay previously to see if he could get the 1705 -- don't think he's able to.

My 1705 after 2 months of wear. Doesn't fade as quickly but the lightweight is great for summer!

    Wedding Ties

I've got a friend getting married, and he asked me to look for ties that have a tiffany blue color to them. Any suggestions?

I agree on the lack of stretching. Not much at all beyond the waistline.

Better, can be more expensive... or even better alternatives with same price point.

    J.Crew Spring 2012

If I want some shirts with similar generic patterns that J.Crew has (or is copying from), what are some good alternatives? For e.g. http://www.jcrew.com/mens_category/shirts/washedfavoriteshirts/PRDOVR~95314/95314.jsp

I was able to stretch back to pre-shrunk levels and perhaps even more. I cold soaked for 30 min or so, and after I put them on immediately. It was really difficult as it shrunk quite a bit all over, but I eventually got them on and buttoned fully after 30-45 minutes of wearing them and...

My chest measures 35-36" at rest, and breathed in 37". I wear a 38 for my suits. I didn't really have any trouble putting my arms in the sleeves for size S. If you're 135lbs... I would think you'd be an XS, unless you are more husky and rather than slim.

I tried on the bayswater at Jcrew. I'm 6'0'' 175 lbs, and the S seemed like an ok fit for me (M was definitely too big). There wasn't a XS for me to try on though.

I don't need a "trim" fit per-say, just don't want that tent look that you are referring to. I just want it to look normal fitting, not too big such that it looks goofy. I'll take a look at Sterlingwear as well. Thanks for the tips, will update when I Decide.

MEGA PEACOAT THREAD - 61 threads merged - all Peacoat questions HERE

Can't get any sizing help from Schott... For the 740N, My chest measures (right under my armpits) 37" breathing in, and about 35" not breathed in. I wear a 38 in a trim fit for my suits. Should I be a 36 or 38?

I agree, it's baggier than another skinnyguy that I have. Personally, I like the baggier fit over the regular sg by NF... it's tight for me in the thighs... still trying to stretch it out a bit.

It depends on your height... how tall are you? I'm around 6'0'' and with a minimal stack I hemmed my NF x Momo's to 35.5.

Yeah, I like the roomier feel of the skinny guy on the NFxMomo than the reg NF skinny guys.
