SPIER & MACKAY - Official Affiliate Thread

I had Spier shorten the sleeves on a polo coat for me with turnback cuffs. I never asked how they did it but I was very happy with the end result. Could not tell that there had been an alteration.

I was about to write the same thing. The selection seems worse than it was before the recent MTO changes. There were definitely fabrics that were available a few weeks ago that are no longer available.

Can also confirm S&M do alter other brands. Do you mean they don't do surgeon cuffs/working buttons? They do still shorten sleeves I believe. Which Stitch It did you go to and how was the experience? Thanks.

I got the recent M&E ulster and went with the same size I normally wear in suits. Its at the tailors to shorten the sleeves but will try and take pics when I get it back. Its heavy and I like the brownish herringbone as it warms up the coat.

    Edward Green in Toronto

I am not aware of anyone that sells in Toronto anymore. I bought a pair of Dovers from Robert Jones back in the day and now make my purchases when I go to London. Let us know if you find anyone. Good luck.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

That's what I am looking for. I'm in NYC for work a decent amount but always go to ADs. I know gray market dealers in Philly and Boston but not NYC. It might not be possible to find a dealer with both watches but would be nice to know who is decent to deal with.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

Are the boxes new or used? I may settle for NOS but prefer 2023 new boxes. But seriously, if anyone knows a dealer that I can try on some Pateks in NYC it would be appreciated. London also works. Getting to try on the Pateks I want in the city I live in is not really possible. Really want...

In NYC a little over the next few weeks for work. Anyone know a good place to see Pateks, specifically 5270s and 5970s? Thanks.

The Watch Appreciation Thread - Part two (Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet, Jaeger LeCoultre,

How much room is there to negotiate with a grey market dealer (EWC for example)? Looking to make a trade for a Patek or Lange and want to know what is the right discount to look for. Assume the watch is in the $55k-$70k range. Thanks.
