Fit is perfect. Have the same size as my oxfords from AM. However, sadly, I don't own any loafers from AM. I used a pic from his website before. Definitely still on the wishlist though.

I just got a shipment notification for the Proteo boots! I ordered less than 2 weeks ago, but somehow got lucky? I am a little confused, but very excited :) TBC

Lazyman is not for me. Never liked the concept. Halfway to nothing. To each their own I guess. I still want to get my hands on a centurion. Possibly in peccary. Maybe next year...

I hope to keep both. Let's see how things turn out once she finds out how much the boots cost :)

Well, I solved my conundrum. I asked my wife and she had a very clear preference. Just placed an order for the Proteo boots. And now we wait!

Many thanks for the insights. This is exactly what I'm struggling with a bit haha. I think I'll ultimately go for the Evo as I want something a bit dressier than the Proteo. Will try to have some fun with the leather (have wanted a boot in Baker's Russian calf for a while) and the last. I hear...

Looking for some style advice. I'd like to purchase a pair of (less dressy) boots from AM. Currently doubting between the Evocatus (in a single material) and the Proteo boots. I think the Proteo is very unique, but it might be a bit too flashy. Any thoughts/advice/experiences?

I mean, who would say no to this? Ordering loafers without a fitting is just a bridge too far for me. Such a shame... Does anybody on the forum own anything in peccary from AM? Experiences to share?

Agreed. My other pair of AM is in melograno and it is much lighter and slightly orange. For the record, this is what I was expecting:

Thanks! Spot on. Coffee tostato. I was expecting the red undertones that I saw on the website to be more pronounced. The shoes are quite dark and brown as is, but they really come to life with some sunshine.

Splurged on these. Was expecting the patina to be a tad different, but absolutely love the shoes.

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

I was thinking the same. Which is equally frustrating as I am using Carmina's own shoe trees. And that was supposed to extend the life of my shoes. Not destroy the lining...

Carmina Shoes - Definitive Thread (reviews, advice, sizing, etc...) - official thread.

Has anybody experienced any issues with the lining on a pair of Carmina boots? I've owned a pair of boots for about 3 years now. Lining seems to be falling apart where the shoe tree hits it. Rather upsetting...

I recently ordered a pair of aurum shoes and asked a few questions about the leather. The "triple box" question came up. I believe I've seen it referred to here before but it really isn't all that clear to me what it means. So I decided to just ask for a layman's explanation that I think is...

It appears the Aereus shoes are now available. One option in any case: https://www.meccarielloshoes.it/product/calcei-willow-grain-navy-suede-and-pig-skin-white/

Question to other Meccariello fans. I was recently lucky enough to be able to get my hands on a pair and am very impressed with the craftmanship. The only place where I was a little let down is with a small finishing detail. I don't really have the shoe vocabulary to express this well, but it...
