I’d be interested in seeing a picture of how it wore out. I like the commando soul I was under the impression that it was rubber in two sections - front and back - and then leather in the middle. I’ve got a special make up coming soon using this commando soul that AOSF makes but i’ve never seen...- Markintosh

GBMLC (God bless my local cobbler - LOL)....just got my new unworn 975 black cordovans back...I'm AMAZED at what they were able to do...SO worth it...$25 and back in 3 days, versus shipping to East Coast...I'm so happy with these...these are my favorite Alden models...I just love them...check...- Markintosh

I agree with you - Alden has a style all their own, I have 3 pairs, one on the way (a makeup from AOSF) and I love the brand. My point on the fix, why I didn't send them in, was it's such a hassle to UPS to the Easy Coast when I can fix for $25...it's not the end of the world for me. Once fixed...- Markintosh

Really helpful - thank you. Your suggestion for finding a person that works at a store is such a good idea. This is what I've done with C&J - I've done 7 MTO with Thomas and not a single issue.
