Its not exactly a traditional sanforization. Basically, the fabric was so bumpy and slubby that they had a really hard time sewing it into jeans, so they ironed it down to make it more uniform. A full sanforization would leave the fabric almost entirely flat and uniform, while these still...- Jay-D

Corter Leather Goods - Definitive Thread
Tanner's version is a bit more refined, skived down and processed more, plus it is waxed. Tanner is a very nice belt.
