parisvegas - interesting thomas pink find.

When you get some more info about the inventory, I'd be interested. At the right price, I like their slim fit shirts, and my GF likes the shirts as well, so I might even be interested in taking some of the women's stuff off of your hands.

Bold windowpane suit on the Sartorialist

Just figured I'd chime in and say I have that very same tie, by Thomas Pink.

    NFL's Best Dressed

I must say, I liked Dhani's outfit the best. I checked out his website and after reading a bit more about him, he seems like a very cool guy. Definitely going to do my best to support him (although it will be easier to buy my first bowtie than to cheer for the Eagles!).

Affordable tailors that have more of an Italian or English cut?

I am looking for an affordable tailor that can do something in the Mr. Ned price range with more of an Italian or English cut. From what I understand, Mr. Ned does much more of a sack suit style, and I am not a big fan of the American cut on my body. Are there any other options in that price...

    Who is your style icon?

+1 On the more general point there isn't a current celebrity that springs to mind style wise, with the possible exception of Daniel Craig, but I don't think that's his own work. Brad Pitt always looks good to my eyes, but then he would look good in a sack so that's no guide. Yup.. Brad Pitt...

    Who is your style icon?

I am getting ready to overhaul my wardrobe (thank god for bonuses!), and have been looking at pictures of the styles I admire to get a better sense for what pieces I should be looking to purchase as a new base. Just curious which modern figures people here look up to. Obviously there are the...

What materials for those hot/humid summer days?

My fall/winter wardrobe is at least acceptable, however, I feel I am sorely lacking on summer clothing. Obviously linen, but I have a hard time finding linen pants that look acceptable for work. What about shirt materials as well? Pants I am likely to buy off the rack, while shirts are more...

Are These Fabrics Appropriate for Interviews?

Do you think employers have gotten used to the fact that most 22-24 year old guys don't know how to wear a suit, and simply give them credit for trying to show respect? No. Atleast not in my industry. I've been involved in the recruiting process for my group (within investment banking), and I...

How much pink is too much? And critique the pocket square/combo.

I tend to like pink and purples. They work well (for the most part) with my skin, but how much is too much? And is the pocket square too close to the tie? If you can't see it in the pic, the shirt is white with pink. Sorry for the crappy cell phone pic.

Opinions on these spectators (what to wear?)

I've been looking for a pair of brown and white spectators for a while, and now I've finally found a pair for a decent price. However, I am getting trigger shy...what can they be worn with? My primary use would be seersucker during the summer, but considering I will be in Manhattan..the...

    Pocket squares without a tie?

What is the consensus on pocket linens without a tie? Ties aren't very common on the trading floor, but jackets are somewhat more common. I like the touch that pocket squares add, but would they look out of place if worn without a tie? What about my french cuffed shirts without a tie, and...

    Any suggestions for brown/white spectators?

I am looking for a pair to wear with seersuckers and other weekend-y type clothing. Don't want to spend a boat load, as they won't get much use. However, I also still want a quality pair. Any particular brands to look at?

    Burberry's headed to the heartland

The Burberry store at SouthPark in Charlotte, N.C. does well, but it's in an very affluent suburban area in an upscale mall that attracts shoppers from up to 200 miles away (like me). I am very underwhelmed by SouthPark. Hopefully Neiman will make it a bit more interesting though.

Unable to wear black shoes anymore!

I feel the same way, luckily I was saved from the black leather just before starting my first real job. Now my black shoes only get pulled out when we are meeting with a conservative client.

    Wedding attire

I still need to get a copy. X_x Sound advice. I'd like to add that a vest that matches the pants if going with a white (or off-white) dinner jacket is a good choice. Harrison Ford certainly looked great in it. I don't think I will be wearing white. I have a very pale (almost bright white)...

    Wedding attire

Getting ready to pop the question, although it won't come as much of a surprise to the gf, as we've discussed pretty specific plans for a wedding. Only reason a ring didn't come earlier was money (recent college grad, luckily I got into a high paying field). Anyway, to my question: We will...

    Mr Ned experiences/prices?

I am hoping to get down to see Mr. Ned while I am in NYC (until 7/22), on the recommendation of forum members and Carl (CEGO). After a great experience with CEGO, I am looking forward to having some pants made for me that won't drape so poorly off my flat hindquarters. Does anyone know what...

    Bespoke/MTM pants?

Yeah, I defintely plan on asking Carl if he has any input. Just figured I would throw it out here as well. Thanks! Now off to get my first (of many to come) custom shirt(s).

    slim fitting, grey plaid pants

I picked up a pair of slim grey PoW plaid trousers from Zara last fall. Their stock is always changing so it's worth a look if you have one near you. Last I was there they had a great slim brown plaid trouser. If you have a good Ralph Lauren shop, I've seen great PoW plaids, herringbones...
